Hi there,

What internet browser are you using?

Make sure you empty you cache and cookies, update you graphics card drivers and flash drivers. If it still doesn't work, contact the support team.

Good luck ;)

Same.

It's sort of ruined the beginning experience for me of the game as I have to keep refreshing every 5 minutes.

My Internet cache and history have been removed. Flash, graphics etc are all up-to-date as well.

Currently using Firefox 8.0.1 on a MAC

I have the same problem. Using Firefox 8.0 on a PC - have cleared cache etc, but without fail the browser has to be refreshed every five to ten minutes. VERY VERY annoying...no point in playing this if its going to crash so often.

Strange, I too use Firefox but haven't had this problem what so ever. Same version on a PC. I do believe I haven't updated Flash in a while however, perhaps that's something?

Edit ; I do not have the problem myself, just trying to help you guys out. ^^

I give up - have tried to contact Support - keep being told that I have to have a validation email - this has been sent several times, but I still can't get access to the Support form - game looks fabulous but there are too many issues with it running on my PC. Such a pity!

Delete cache (in chrome): De key-thingy in the right upper corner -> Press options -> 'Under the motor' or 'Advanced Options' -> 'Privacy', the first title, button on the right.

What if u use another browser/pc? Does that solve the problem?

I've tested this guys. Tested in Safari and Chrome, it seems to work fine in these, and I expect it will in IE9. Seems FireFox is the only one with a problem for some people.

Just switch browser.

Hope it helps.

Starting to think it may be graphical lag in a players browser, not being able to send and recieve fast enough so the server asks for a refresh.

Some games offer a low resolution option when logging in, a possible solution?

Great minds think alike!

Already stuck a suggestion in the 'Suggestions (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/14887-Suggestions...)' thread! :P

Most likely this is a browser cache-management problem.

Tested it at home with Firefox; the following solution works for me:
1. In firefox go to the menu: Tools -> Options
2. Got to tab 'Advanced', and sub-tab 'Network'
3. Tick (meaning select) the option: "Override automatic cache management"
Note: It will automatically set it to 1024MB, could not assign more.

Have not been able to test this for Internet Explorer.

Hope this helps ^^

Thanks for the tip MissZero.

Check this link out, has a few people discussing it in more depth. Though your suggestion will probably fix it.
