Can I replenish an exhausted wheat field or should I just demolish and replace it?

you can build a new one over it without demolishing.

just a hint :) if you demolish a wheat field when it is rly low you get some building recourses back ;) not alot but it is somethig for free..

will bear that in mind too, I presume it works for other resources too, like water

works the same for water, works similar way for mines (you cant build a mine over exhausted one, but you can send geo to find a new deposit without demolishing the mine; if you time it right you can have the deposit found soon after mine collapses, saves much time when youre looking for coal or gold)

I bought the packed wheatfield with gems the other day and since then my other 2 wheatfields have remained untouched at 200 wheat, has anyone experienced similiar with other field sizes?

Had same thing with same size. But when i made more fields around, some of the farms started to use normal fields as well. Only closest farms used this mega field.

Not exactly sure how this works, but i have three 'Packed wheatfields', and fields with 200 wheat also. I also build a 'Silo' in between, to keep refilling them! I definitely see the wheat-field-contents fluctuate, meaning go up and go down. So far the 'Packed wheatfields' haven't gone down to zero yet, although the 200 wheat-fields have. Hope this helps.

Hint: When u demolish a wheat-field with only 20 wheat left in it, you get some tools back. If u let is run dry, u won't get anything ^^
