View Full Version : A more "non technical" talk :-)
Hey all and mostly BB's / technicians.
Could it be possible to get a more non technical explanation for what went wrong this weekend. Just out of curiosity:)
But as always thanks to all those who has been working the whole weekend to get the game up and running.
We were experiencing multiple MYSQL errors starting Thursday, that spread throughout our entire network. Our French and Russian instances were also affected, as well as the (new) German server 8, as it's on the same system. Our technicians are working round the clock to get all systems up and running, so far the website and forums are back up.
MySql (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=MySql): A programming language used for servers and databases. So when they have SQL problems they are have server/Databases errors.
Short update #2: it could be that the website and forum will give errors for some players, as well in as in our system. I am trying to convince the technicians to keep the website and forum up as long as possible, but if our website servers crash again, there will be the inevitable maintenance page again.
If you would'v read a little further. :p

the database server produced that amounts of errors that the servers crached and that needed to be fixed first. it could be in the code or it was a serverside error(s).
i know that kind of things because im studying computers.
