Some sort of the same problem here for the last 10 / 15 minutes, first the page wasn't loading at all, now I can reach the normal loading screen but this msg pops up:

"The Client was unable to load a data file.
Delete your browser cache and try again"

I've deleted the cache but its still isnt loading :(

EDIT: now I just get a white page again

I get the message "unable to load a date file" from time to time. Just ignore it for now and submit a support ticket.

Same here in FF8 on WinXP Pro - was playing the game - just hit lvl24 so refreshed tab to see "24" under my name and can't get back in - just a blank page and no error messages.

Edit - I was wondering if perhaps the servers are "overloaded": too many users, not enough slots?

TBH with it being boxing day i really hope someone doesnt get called in, were playing this for free and what not. i wouldnt want to ruin someones family time, if this is resolved for wed/thurs ill be happy enough. Let the BB and Ubi staff enjoy their holidays we have plenty of time to play in the future!

Glad to find out it's not just me with the data cache issue.....did as directed and cleared the browser cache and that was followed with the white screen but now I know it's reported and will be dealt with in due course I'll go and do something that is productive that isn't settler production that is.

When i clicked 'Play' an error poped up saying i had to clean cache and then try again.. i did that and now when i click play the page loads for 2secs and then stops and i get a white page

This is quite annoying. I got the same problem. First I tried to delete my browsers' cache ( tried more than 3 browsers, didn't work at all ). And then the cookies, okay no problem, still doesn't work.The heck, okay tried to delete everything, cookies, cache, saved passwords,etc ... AND STILL DOESN'T WORK ( WHAT THE HELL ) !!! I've got Heritage and Rise if I need a Settlers fix while offline; not quite as good without the chat ;) but they'll have to do - or Neverwinter Nights

The white screen contains a file that should be being parsed to Flash, so it looks like somebody is working on it.
Meanwhile, the German servers are working fine, (apart from the reward glitch on Schneefeuer), so if anyone really does need a fix, give it a try.

My guess is its because the flash isnt loading because the file: http://static13.cdn.ubi.com/settlers_online/live/uk/L4195UK/SWMMO/debug/AC_OETags.js
isnt found on the server (or atleast thats the errorcode my browser recieves when trying to get the file)

Got one myself old chap, nice greeniness leaking out - but I don't think that's the bug affecting Settlers Online - unless BB are using fleshy servers ;)
