Hi, i have been trying to play on sandycove but everytime i click on the play button it goes to the loading screen and then displays an error message saying it can't load a data file and to delete my browser cache, a have tried doing so several times and it makes no difference at all, i have the most recent version of flash installed. Killing the bandit leader, thus freeing the sector, will reward you with 10 licences.
When will the Starter Pack be available outside Europe?
Hey guys, I have freed sector 5 with a good spot to place marble and stone cutters. After the closest to my storehouse stone mine has run out I am unable to rediscover the deposit because "you already have too many deposits". I have tried depleting the existing mines and not removing the debris but when I send the geologist to scout again he finds the mine over the depleted spot. Is there a way around it?

Whilst I agree that the use of pecentages can be confusing at times, the tooltip is correct.
If you use a calculator, such as the one built into windows, and input 1x200% the answer is 2.
I do agree that the use of "double" and "triple" would be less confusing.
Just got thinking about this so I answer it; the game is correct and is not that hard. In correct English, it would say "Increase the production by 200% more" to mean 3 workers, but it says "Increase the production by 200%", so you understand that it takes the 100% and makes it 200%.
Simply wanted to apply to the ones who didn't really understand this.

Build a storehouse on the new territory to claim it zooox. Dont always rely on the forums either cos it may take a while to reply to your posts. Go to chat instead

The main benefit from reaching lvl 17 is the branchoffice wich grants the trading ability

No, you can destroy and rebuild but that means losing all resources spend on upgrading.

Have you tryed the standard solutions?
Clear cache, refresh browser? Try different browsers.
Also make sure you have most recent version of browser and flash.

You probably need to restock the deposit. It works the same as fish when you make it in the provision house and then have refill the deposit nearest your hunter.

P.s. i have destroyed all the camps on one of the sector, i still can't build my buildings there, only Garrison, but it's doesn't allow me to build any other building on the territory...
What are the limits of the different mines? I mean my geologists can find only 4 iron resorce at once and even I send them to find more because I would like to have mor than 4 iron mines they come back with thatt they couldn't find any more iron and I wonder how many gold coal and ect mines can I have later once I reach the level when I can get them.

i`ve got to the point of locating a marble quarry but no means of aquireing the actual marble.
You have to build a Marble mason located in the advanced building tab. If you can't build it yet. continue the tutorial till you can.
In the "Updated goods and adventure price sheet", what exactly does "stack" refer to? Is there any specific number of units to a stack? Without a clarifying definition of what a "stack" is in comparison to, let's say, gold coins, the term in my view will remain obscure. And with that, so will value rates of different goods.

Are you sure it is meant for the Mayor's house? There is a different type which you can place into a mine itself.

To increase production of hardwood planks I built, as a temporary measure, an additional sawmill. Now I don't need it any longer.

Still have 1. serial on my Commodore Amiga 1200 and each new serial thrills me more and more.
I'm glad that you not gave up from such a good game.
Only one thing i hate , and that is online games without lan support.
Thing is that i want to buy new serial of your game and play online and trough lan connection!
Stuff like gold or premium members and buying a gold(or anything else) for real money to advance my kingdom is seriously bad for gaming from my point of view.
If i like your game i want to buy it! Is it 50 or 100 Euro , i don't care if i want to play legal.
Don't know if I offended You but this is my opinion to gaming industry today!
I will enjoy in this beta version as much as possible , and I hope that one day you'll release a normal version of the new settlers with Lan and Online support!

Now i have 182 gems - how is that possible - i should get 170 gems more !

I have clear all cookies and cache and have reload to the game - the problem is the same i have 187
( little mistake i have 187 gems and no 182 sorry) gems still !
Then I recommed contact to support as I told in above. Hope they can fix it.

You keep your starting island forever so once you hit level 17 you will continue with what you've already built :)

I've been trying to search the forum for info on the Gem Pit but I've no luck. Does anyone know how it works? Does it run out? Does it need placing in a specific area? what is the gem creation rate? Can it be upgraded?
It gives you exactly twice the amount of gems as it costs. I don't remember the rate but it is very slow, I think you will get those gems after 6 or 12 months. It runs out and is destroyed. It cannot be upgraded. It cannot be buffed.

Sort of a real life mechanic. If you demolished a real building you'd not be able to extract the materials that went into it - you'd probably end up with a collection of metal, wood and bricks. The same applies in game, the materials you get back are a portion of the ones that went into it as the rest aren't usable.
Also it would be detrimental to get 100% back - lets say a mine has 1 ore left in it, so it gets demolished for 100% of the build cost. You could technically keep a mine going forever.

Yes, it's possible to purchase deposit refills using gems from the in-game shop. It's generally accepted though that it's more efficient to just re-find that spot once the mine has become exhausted and then build a new mine (gold mines are an exception due to the build cost)

Follow the instructions within the Tutorial. You'll need to purchase an Explorer from the Tavern and send them to explore for a new sector.
How to upgrade general?
You can't upgrade any of your specialists. You can however purchase new ones from the Tavern (for gold) or if you spend gems at the in-game shop, you can get specialists with different attributes (faster, can command more troops, etc)
Why are there some spots i cant build?
There will be various bits of shrub, tree or other parts of the landscape in the way - this includes roads you've put down!
I paid 95 gems for a noble deed and have bought several of them they have always came to my star menu this time it took my gems but didnt give me the deed. I didn't gift them to anyone. I do have more gems to by another one but would really like it if the one I have already paid for was delivered any ideas how I can get it to the right place?

Other option is just create new account (never use current again)
Best way is to just continue with current and adjust all mistakes as you go.
A friend of mine in USA wanted to join me in TSO and she created an account selecting EU english at log on, however we can't see each other in the game.
My server name comes at top of browser (Sandycove [Realm 3]), she says she can't see any name at top when she is logged in.
I need to advise her how to get onto the same server as me but have no real idea what she needs to do.

When she was creating her profile, underneath the 'select avatar' part is a drop down server selection. She needs to have clicked on 'Sandycove' there, and short of signing up a new account I can't think of a solution. I have no idea why she can't see a name at the top.

You need to fulfil all of the requirements of the quest. Underneath the text you will see that you need to "make available" a certain number of resources. Once you have (the box will go green), click on finish and then you'll be able to complete the quest.

For as far as i know, there is no remember password option that works.
Twice I have attacked a village labelled as easy, and lost the entire attacking 200 head army. The first time, I just got surprised, and did not even read the war description. But now, when it happened again, I really started to wonder what happened, and when I red the battle report, all of a sudden I was fighting 120 wolfes, which are not to be seen, when I place the cursor over that village. Now, I have for the second time lost 200 soldiers, and appearently may loose more, if I return to the village. May it be a bug?

No, no bug. They are traps, if you read the many excellent adventure guides, you'll know where to find them.

Maybe your PC is weak or your internet connection varies in quality. It happens to me too sometimes.

The amount of wood a wood deposit can hold is not always the same.
edit: to clarify, each wood deposit has its own max, that wil never change, but not all deposits have the same max.

The amount of trees shown does not mean the deposits are larger. Every start island is exactly the same. If a deposit has 25 max for someone else, then it will be 25 max for you as well. All tree deposits start out with there max.
Is there some kind of map where I can see wood deposits capacities? I've seen a map with capacities of other resources. Thanks for your help so far.

Silly me, I can just zoom in after clicking on a forrester or a cutter, the ammounts of wood in a deposit will appear. :)

You get xp when you kill enemy troops. So all you need to do is attack more bandit camps.

Great game, but one thing. My bowmaker indicates to be without logs, but the deposit of logs in my storehouse is growing. I've shut down sawmills. I've got ever more logs in store, but the bowmaker doesn't seem to be getting those. How can I solve this?

Because the longbow's uses a different type of wood.
It's an ordinary bowmaker, I've just started playing a few days ago..;)
Edit: The same goes for the bronze weapons-smith, it indicates to be out of coal, but I have 5 coal in store.

Nope. The hp, dammage, slots in a army and costs are all different.

3 geologists, (you can buy geologists from other players, so it's actually infinite)
3 explorers,
6 generals
With gems it's
12 200 generals (or infinite generals if you also take the store bought packs into account) + 2 250 generals
13 explorers
infinite geologists.
During most events you can also buy one of these. Like the 200 general we will be able to buy during the upcoming Halloween event.

For as far as i know, there is no real limit. I know you can have at least one million fish in a deposit.
Although there always is a limit, it's just so very high no one will ever find it (-:
You can also have minus. So i assume it's a signed 32 bit integer, which would mean the max you can have is slightly more than 2 billion.

You killed all camps in the adventure? If so, then there should be a finish option for the quest when your in the adventure. Or if you did not start that adventure, then you need to start it. If it's a daily quest, and you do not know what adventure stealing from the rich is, then it's probably best to abandon the quest.

Bowmen = Intermediate buildings > Bowmaker
Recruits = Intermediate buildings > Bronze weaponsmith
You will need coal, copper ore and bronze to make Recruits.. and of course enough population :).
Follow the tutorial carefully, its designed to get you started.

20 scavengers should net you 80xp so more than enough to get you to level 17. Gratz when you get there :)

Zeus is USA server. These forums are from the UK servers. Your probably on the wrong realm.

I'm having asimilar problem. I am trying to defeat metal tooth. I have followed the guides on forum as to what army to send but he keeps wiping me out. I've only managed to get rid of 10 bowmen but I lose every unit I have. I've tried about 8 times now. It's costing me a fortune in resources and time.

Yes they will get the XP for everything they kill. Just make sure you kill at least a few bandits though so you will get the loot split.

i think someone needs to go back to school. peanut1944 had it right. a 100% increase would be double the original amount. a 200% increase would be triple the original amount. if you can't get it right, use the double or triple and end the confusion. the key here is 200% INCREASE. your math is for 200% OF. with a 200% increase, you also add in the original amount to the 200%, making it triple.

One of the new quests is to do the "Bounty Hunter" adventure - what happens if you have already done it twice and cannot buy it from the store and it is not in the menu to trade it - It means I cannot complete that string of quests!

I'm struggling with the quests regarding the needs to produce 0 every 12 hours of a particular resource, then produce 360 of exactly the same thing.
Hi, new player here :) Is there a list somewhere of the quests you need to work through at the beginning? I'm waiting to be high enough level to get the "A New Attack" quest. I have cleared the bandit camps from all but one of the sectors I've found so far, and I wonder if I clear the bandits from the last sector before I get that quest, will I be unable to complete it?

To train 25 Cavalry you need 25 Settlers, 750 brew, 1000 horses !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (for 25 cavalry men, lol?)

Is it still so? Clearly it is NOT. If you miss logging in for 2 days, the copper and/or marble mines should be all exhausted. (It takes about 50 hrs to exhaust a 320 marble deposit with mason and storehouse quite near) But when you do log in on 3rd day, the copper mines work AS IF you logged in last 10 minutes ago!!

A lootspot counts as finishing the adventure, yes.
But it does not count as finishing e.g. the quest to play Dark Priests losing fewer than 500R, if your lootspot seller has already lost more than 500R.
We tried that with Killste already, trying to fulfil the quest to play Sons of the Veld losing fewer than 300R.
Each of us played the adventure alone till the end, losing some 1400R, and then invited each other for the lootspot.
Each of us only lost 1R on the mate's adventure, but none of us got the quest fulfilled.
I replayed SotV recently on the test server, losing 675M and 291R myself, and invited a friend who lost 1R on the lootspot.
After that, both of us fulfilled the quest to play Sons of the Veld losing fewer than 300R.
In order to fulfil these quests, the combined losses of all players in multiplayer adventures must be fewer than specified in the quest, e.g:
complete the adventure "Dark Priests" losing fewer than 500R
complete the adventure "Sons of the Veld" losing fewer than 300R
complete the adventure "Victor the Vicious" losing fewer than 50S
complete the adventure "Roaring Bull" losing fewer than 50ES

No problem with it... let me quote myself from another thread...
The aim of all these production quests is to teach you to have (at least a small) surplus on every level of the production chain.
This to help you in the future from having smelters and workshops constantly complaining from lack of raw materials.
To have a production of "at least 0" means you must have a surplus, not that you must shut everything down to get exactly 0.
Thus...
if your mines do not supply enough copper ore for your smelters, build another mine.
if your smelters do not supply enough bronze for your workshops and toolmakers, build another smelter (or upgrade an existing one), and return to point 1.
if your toolmakers do not supply enough tools for the quest, and you do not want to produce more, buff your toolmakers.
You may of course also buff all mines and smelters as well, and thus get the quest fulfilled.
But that won't help you or teach you how many mines your smelters need or how many smelters your workshops need.
Walking distances also play a role of course... if possible, try placing your smelters a little closer to a storehouse and your workshops and toolmakers a little (not miles) further away from the storehouse.
