Hardwood forester issue

Shouldn't these two hardwood foresters do something about the cluster of tree stumps in the middle there instead of walking across the map to work on something almost 1 1/2 minutes away? What do I have to get them to concentrate? Help =/

Work yards always work at the closest possible place. However, hardwood foresters can only plant hardwood trees on hardwood deposits not pinewood deposits. From your picture, I can tell that it's sector 2 and the tree stumps are from pinewood trees. Two of your hardwood trees are still there, it means that the foresters are working fine.

Uhm, so the big cluster of large stumps in the middle there are pinewood? Why do they look like hardwood on friends maps then?

You can distinguish between pinewood and hardwood by clicking on a work yard which uses the wood then a symbol representing that wood will appear.
