Just lost 750 gold by cancelling a gold mine.

Hello,

I found a gold mine using a geologist, and then added 3 x 250 resources to it.

Then i started building the mine, but i noticed i hadnt enough resources and i needed to rebulild alot of farms so I cancelled it.

But, the mine dissapered from the map, and after sending a geologist out he found it with 300 gold ore in it.

Luckily the Omiseeds i used was from the compensation packages so I didnt loose any real money on it.

Unfortunately, this is normal. Once you cancel a building, the found resources will be removed, and you must send the geologist again. I think this is an additional penalty for cancelling a mine.
Anyway, why didn't you leave the mine there, waiting until the resources are in your storage? You can still build other stuff any change the build order. So you won't lose any added buffs.

I've done that, so now always check I have enough resources before building anything. Hover over the building before you select it

Or just leave the building in the que till it's finished.
