Sorry for posting this question:

Ok I have over 4k of hardwood logs stored in my storehouses and have just 195 hardwood planks also in the store.

I have three hardwood sawmills working and roughly half a dozen hardwood cutters working as well.

My question is when the hardwood planks run out do my settlers automatically go to the storehouse and start picking up the hardwood logs and processing them at the sawmills?

and upgrading the mayors house - what are the benefits of doing this?

Many thanks

Increases storage by 1600.

MacMatty, your Sawmills are already automaticly picking up the logs to be processed into Hardwood Planks. But as a Cutter does it work to cut a tree in roughly half the time compared to a Sawmill to make a plank out of a log, it is normal that you have a lot of logs stored.

The solution (if you need it) is to make more or upgrade your sawmills to increase the amount of planks.

And don't feel sorry to ask questions.. :)

for 6 woodcutter you'll need 12 sawmill to keep up with it's production ( and 9 forester so you don't go out of wood deposit )
