Server Client Fail - Connection to server lost...

I get that on one of my PCs (win7 pro, 64bit, latest version of Mozilla firefox; we have broadband internet, I am behind a router.).
Sometimes it occures after some seconds, sometimes after some minutes.
Any ideas?

have to add another problem: when I load the game and minimize either the tab or the whole browser the game's graphics won't load propperly. THe island won't load and the avatars of my friends are flickering.

i agree with the maintance post, but it's now more than 4 hours, in the post they spoke until 12 pm, its past that time already..........!

My question is, why does BB and Ubisoft have to be "special"? Why can't you guys do server cleaning and update like most of the online server clients do - from 3 am to 5 am?

its gmt uk time not ur time so in around 15 mins it should be online again

Update 12:51h : The maintenance will take another half an hour or so. Deployment is done but we need to test the servers before opening them..

But for all the 'read first before post' posters here: They announced it 15 mins over time so it's obvious you get questions then. I think it's pretty easy to know 15 minutes BEFORE that it will take longer then expected and announce that to avoid too much questions. And besides that - trying to login will get you a default error message - not the news page with estimate updates so it's easily overlooked!

Actually, your original description describes a dodgy flash plugin, either try to reinstall that, or try using the 32bit version of browser. Obviously, with the server hitches at the moment, probably not the easiest time to test this out.

I don't think the 64bit machine is not the problem. Had that now once or twice on a 32bit system, too.

I lose my connection virtually every 1-2 minutes. I've reinstalled my flash plugin several times, though nothing seems to work.

If it wasn't the maintenance it may be the broadband connectiona s all it needs is the connection to be gone for a few seconds and the game will not work. This happened on mine when my broadband was messing up. It also happens if my computer is left for too long and goes in sleep mode.

I don't believe the problem is broadband, because all my other games (some of them web-based) have no problem at all staying connected.

I've had a similar problem sometimes with Settlers 7 - I think it needs a certain port open, or maybe the connection to the ubi servers just isn't very stable.

Wel, I don't know what you guys did for the past 24 hours, but it worked. I was able to connect and stay that way for several hours this morning, as well as a short time tonight before the Scheduled Maintenance.

If these problems go on i will abandon the game!

The server connection is very sensative to any fluctuations in the signal.

Secure wireless connection can cause that. It's always trying to check the line is secure and takes you offline.

Another one I have found, is setting your connection to auto-detect proxy settings. Again, this has the effect of the connection keeps on testing the proxy setting and takes you offline. Set proxy to none.

If you are using Firefox, use Profile Manager to set up a clean profile with no add-ons. This solved it for me and I am using a crappy wireless connection on a laptop outside.

I'm using firefox, i have the same problem.. but where can i find the profile manager? so i can set up a clean profile? i really wanna play now hehe

I've no idea where (or what) the profile manager in firefox is. You can however, use the "Firefox"-button in the top-left corner, op sub-menu help and choose the option "Restart firefox with disabled addons", that way you can at least test if playing with no add-ons solves your problem.
