No, FlashT is a part of Flash, but unfortunately, there is probably some incompatibility between Flash and a beta Windoze.
I had several similar messages when trying to find a flash plugin on Linux that didn't screw up.

Flash is not, and will not be, suported for the browser in the metro UI. But flash should work for the normal desktop internet explorer in windows 8.

I have just started working on a new Windows 8 operating system, and trying to log on to Settlers... NorthIsle... I am getting nowhere trying via my usual Mozilla Firefox ... just re-loaded. The same FlashT error message will not let me proceed. I would appreciate some advice please.

The game works for me in Win8 in both IE Metro and desktop browsers.
I have also downloaded chrome and Firefox and works in them as well.
Best tip is from the main metro interface, click the desktop to get to the old windows 7 style interface and then launch IE and go to thesettlersonline.com you should then have a working game.
If this fails or you are running windows RT (for instance on the MS Surface tablet) then you may need to amend the IE Whitelist as per the link below.

Please post and confirm this worked for you....

Im gonna be offered a windows surface rt tablet soon. I was wondering if settlers online would work there and I have found a website that says that flash is now fully supported in the device. Can anyone confirm it tso can be played in the surface rt?

I've got a Surface RT and have played it on there in the desktop mode without any issues.

I did have to add the settlers website to the exceptions allow flash to work but this was in January so they might have changed it looking at that link.

Its perfectly playable but is a little jittery compared to my desktop PC.

Of course, obvious answer is replace Windoze 8 with Linux, not surprised people are giving the things away.

Now very perplexed, what did I write 21 months ago which has suddenly become unpalatable?
