View Full Version : time to "Chuck" the towel in
That's it here for me for some time. I lost interest several weeks ago when I was unable to defeat Chuck, but kept plodding on and having a go at him when I got sufficient cavalry. After countless attacks and losses decided that the was no way I was going to do it with 2 general so invested in a third. Having killed all the dogs and got down to 80 roughnecks I felt I was bound to do it now.
I've just lost 152 cavalry, over 300 recruits 50 militia over 50 bowmen, still not managed to kill him and there are still 67 roughneck left. This is just getting bl**dy pointless.
Every single combination I've tried on both battle calculators tell me there is no sure way to win
sure way to defeat chuck :
Bandit Leader (Chuck + 50 Dogs + 49 Rangers + 100 Roughnecks)
wave 1 115 cav to clear out dogs/rangers
wave 2 85 recruits, 40 militia and 75 bows- to kill chuck
wave 3 200 recruits (can be less) to kill the remaining roughnecks in the camp
This is a time and time again tested tactic (and has been posted on the forum as well)
Basically you need to remove the high damage units and first strike units first before killing chuck (need enough damage to be able to kill chuck) and then just clean the rest off- think you have been close but havent managed to field a force strong enough to kill chuck as he needs to be killed in 1 wave
yes I've been close, got him down to a few points from death. So as the dogs / rangers are gone I'm wasting my time with cavalry now then? need militia and bows?
Oh well just need to wait for another 300 odd people to breed
aye, need bows and longbows if you have so you do more damage
Also there is no need to use 2 generals on chuck. It is better to use just 1. Or if you have 2 then at least wait till after the first has lost. Because then you can see what is left and make your second army to fight what is left.
I would also recomend using a combat calculator. Then you can send an army where you know you will have progress.

I think you'll find you already killed chuck. 115 Cavalry are what kills him. The rest of the waves are to clear the camp and only bosses regain, send in 200recruits and you'll loose around 150 but clear it out.
Either way shouting at the forum isn't the best way to get over it :P

Beg to disagree but 152 cavalry + 48 others didn't kill him
200 recruits managed to kill about 5 roughnecks
Cavalry clear the dogs
You have to read the forums about combating bandits and as Qualan metioned above. If you send those 3 waves you should be able to clear the bandit camp. Also chuck dies in the second wave.
Read KillerCores combat guide. It works really well.
I have cleared the island, following this guide to the letter, and it has never failed.

Forget the combat calculator. Just follow the instructions on that link and you will kill the camps. Simple as that.

If you send in 125 recruits with 75 bowmen you will kill chuck for sure. Though you will loose all units because some roughnecks are still alive, but at least you will have killed chuck.

ive explained the fight almost 2 months ago, thought by now everyone would have at least a slightest idea of how combat system works ..
i will send 200 militia to kill chuck (he will attack first), and i hope he dies, then lll clear the res with recs. time is of no importance once chuck is out of the way.

thx man this worked i finlay defeated chuck after countless atacks made my head hurt :(( ty :)
Chuck dealt 2000-2500 damage. Is that a bug or what? All other leaders (event the strongest Wild Mary) dont deal more than 900?!
Stupid question maybe, but for attacking in waves do i need a general for each wave, or can I handle it with just one general?

you need 1 general per wave. you can wait for that one general to recover and send him again as the 2nd wave etc

Both/either. A wave is just an attack. You can send a general, let him get wounded, then send it again later. Or send two generals. Results are the same. note the special enemies (Sir Robin, Wild Mary, etc.) will heal between attacks so they have to be taken down in one wave.
Are you in a Guild ?
I'd recommend that you join one and ask for help in there,
There's plenty of guilds recruiting in the forum.
Maybe 4 years ago when this thread originated.
