Dear Settlers,

If you are currently playing from New-Zealand or Australia, we need your feedback!

Hopefully, that last maintenance and the upgrade of some of our equipment should have solved most of the lag issues. Nevertheless, we would like to get some feedback about your gaming experience with us.

If you have a few minutes, please answer these questions for us:

Is your "Click-Response" time satisfactory ? Does the game respond fast enough for you?
Do you suffer from any lag? If yes, can you compare this to other online Browser games?

Thank you for your help with this :)

hiya, im from new zealand

The "click response" is fine, it sometime lags but thats fine.
Yes, the only problem ive had is the lag in adventures. Meaning the generals attack the wrong camps using blocking methods.

We are working to resolve the problem.

Hi I'm in Australia :)

1. The click response time seems fine.
2. Still terrible lag with applying friends buffs, adding of meat and fish deposits, and adding of material to mayors house. Buffs take on average 10seconds each to show up, which is an improvement since before the big maintenance but still frustrating. I don't play alot of other browser games but the ones I have, I haven't noticed any lag.

Howdee, New Zealand Here

Click response is good as gold
The occasional lag in missions and occasionally you see the settlers running around as they catchup, also a wee bit when buffing others buildings, but its not bad enough to be annoying

I am in Brisbane and at times there is a slight lag especially refilling mines but on the whole not too bad.

I lost about 15 fish buffs when it laggs out on buffing

and sometimes the build que gets its knickers in a twist if you don't wait for it to "update".. I cancelled a building too many times and then when I made a new building it kept cancelling it! hehe

otherwise been good

citizens sometimes mass lag and move really fast

The issue here is that your maintenance time is in prime playing time.

Thursday evening which means that I often cannot play on Thursday at all so I lose the bonus of playing multiple days on end.

there is no noticeable lag, if I perform an activity and the computer drops out that activity seems to still be there when I log back in.

at the moment i cant login, i get the page where the bar goes to 100%
then goes to the game page, and looks like it si about to startup
then the message comes up, please click to refresh your client
then every thing is gone, web browser says to reload
and nothing happens, i have to use the back key twice to get anything.

Playing from Melbourne,Australia on Northisle server

Click time is acceptable. The game lags a little but that seems to be a common problem after chatting with ppl, you can watch the settlers rubberband when walking too and from buildings.
Occasionally have problems with 3rd slot in build queue. you will click build and building will appear in 3rd slot for a few seconds then dissappear, this usually happens at "peak" playing times when server is busy.
Visiting friends and buffing is a hassle 20 seconds + delay is annoying when trying to buff a large number of buildings, its inevitable some will simple fail to stick and other times you can double buff a building consuming 2 buffs before 1 will stick.

Blocking and retreating from intercepts is extremely difficult due to server taking ages to acknowledge attacks/retreat and i have encountered a serious Lag based bug.

On a fight i accidently sent out an attack of 200 cav at the wrong camp instead of recruits ( it was late and brain fade !) i almost instantly realised my mistake and retreated the general which seemed to work fine. Sent the correct attack out and killed the camp then used my 200 Cav on the correct camp with no losses. Stayed online for a further hour or two chatting and trading. Last thing before logging for the night i queued 100 recruits in the barracks to replace my lossses for the nights play placing me back at population cap.Next morning i log in to be greeted with mail showing that my general lost his fight and im now 200cav down.ERR WTH !!! On checking closely the battle report it seems the fight matched exactly the fight i retreated my general from the previous night. Ok maybe the server didn't acknowledge my retreat command in time to save the troops i accept thats possible ,but my general was not wounded immediately, why did i still have the cav available after retreating . i know they were still there i used them on a following fight and my population cap was still maxxed out, Also the mail message announcing the failed battle didnt turn up during the approx 90 mins i was online afterwards it didn't show up till next day. Sent in a support ticket on this but never received a reply.

(Australian based player here - i am using Optus as my internet supplier.)

Hi - and sorry it has taken so long for me to reply.

The Lag issue for me seems to be fine now, and i can really notice a difference after they fixed it. It can still take a small while to log the actual game, but nothing that is to painful. All game functions now work fine and i have no lag issues with even my generals..(which is fantastic)..

So, thanks for fixing it (at least for me). It has made my playing experience tons better.

In game the lag is bad but bearable. Build queue does silly stuff at times - definitely had troubles after the server came back up today with things appearing in the queue for a few seconds then disappearing. Applying buffs takes 3-4 seconds per buff. All that I can live with, though I find it noticeably worse than the few Facebook games I've played. The only other free browser game I have played was Sorcery Quest and I had no latency issues with that.

What I find most annoying is logging in! Sometimes I log in just fine, but most of the time the progress bar fills and then... nothing. Just sits there. I refresh or go back and hit the play now button and try again. If it fails more than a half dozen times in a row, I just give up and go play something else. That happens at least a third of the time I try to log in.
