Golden Parrot Bug Exploit

Dear Settlers,

We have identified a bug with the Golden Parrot and are currently trying to solve it.

Anyone using this bug as an exploit will be banned indefinitely from the game. Please do not buy Golden Parrots from people you suspect are exploiting this and report them to the moderation team.

Is it really wise to threaten to indefinitely ban ppl from the game for a bug which was created by the developers, ( however unintentional )

How about fix the bug and stop threatening people who have paid cash to play the game as stated which is in BETA stage as notified which may contain errors or not fully functional features.

Please FIX the problem rather than threatening to indefinitely ban people.

I may have used the bug before i read this message from BB_Azariel i don't know as i don't know what the bug is he is on about i will certainly try to not use whatever bug it is, I just hope it doesnt happen by accident.

I certainly do not sell any of my usefull items.

I paid alot of money to play this game and to think i might be indefinitely banned for something which may have not even been my mistake is ridiculous.

Euh do note the bug has been reported and is known. Devs are working on it.
So looking and using the bug now is an exploit. And any exploit in fact can and should be banned if cought. This is normal online-game rules

If you knew the bug existed and you used it you know you exploited it. And trust me this one you know when you abuse it :D
BB communicated this asap. But even without the warning you know exploits are a no-go.

Paying money does not make the rules bend around you. So that argument is invalid.

But they do not tell what the bug is. Just that there's a bug. So naturally anyone who sells or buys golden parrots would be very nervous. And there might be those that have exploited the bug, but didn't know about the message in the forum. I was totally unaware of the original message. I haven't exploited the bug so I'm safe, but they didn't make it a sticky and they locked the thread. Most threads that are locked immediately I ignore cause it's usually some unfounded, idiotic complaints in sometimes foul language. This time it wasn't. If Azariel had stickied it, we would now it was important.

So how can you be so sure you didn't use the bug. You must either know what it is or you don't use parrots at all.
I would be glad to know what we are talking about here.

if you use the golden parrot to buff your mine there is no issue at all- you can buy the parrot and buff your mine without exploiting so you have nothing to fear. And like nukar said- if you are using the exploit, you KNOW you are using it- you can't really do this by mistake unless in very specific circumstances which maybe 1 player in 10.0000 will encounter/use.

The thing with exploits is, if you know what it is- you should not be spreading the word around what it is- more people know= more people can get tempted to use it= more problems for the game in general. So any specific info about the bug will probably result in deletion of topic and/or ban for the poster (or at least a warning)

But u can be sure u not exploiting if you buy a golden parrot and then buff your mine with it- either from the shop or from another player as a gift.

Agree with Qualan here.
This exploit is so obviouse an exploit you will know when you use it. Im not going to tell what it is for obviouse reasons.

Use of a parrot is stil np. Gifting (or rather selling) a parrot is stil ok to.

Agree 100%... this one needs some attention and fast, but then again so does the easter event....
