can anyone help have been doing the egg hunt and have been waiting for 1 to 2 days to receive the map and have had nothing as yet

have you doublechecked mail/starmenu?
I presume the quest in active. in that case you can buy the related map for 10coins at the trader and continue from there. BB has stated they will refund the coins.
