View Full Version : Building in Barracks problem

Maybe i am the only one (which i actually hope) maybe i am not; but after this nights maintenance my complete baracks queue has been frozen; not building anything; the building list is at 21:39 hours for several hours now.

*edit* I can put in new troops; i can take out all troops; accept the first group which is frozen at 14 out of 25 recruits. *edit*

Is anyone else facing any of this issues?

if you are uping your barracks right now its not a problem
the new maint added that when barrack and provision are under upegrade the production will be frozen

Thanks for you comment Ironbobi

My barracks were already upgrading before the maintenance; and there never was a problem with freezing production when either the barracks or the provion house were being upgraded! So due to this nice feature *frozen production during upgrades for Barracks & Prov. house* i will have troops for 5.5 days! Thanks.......

Why would i even want to upgrade my barracks then to level 5 if i get stuck with a week without any troops! Even if i fully build all troops (which is 2.5k troops) they will be gone after 2 adventures (2 days.....).

Also any heads-up on this would have been very... very nice....!

*edit* even BB should agree that those 2 buildings are the key buildings in the whole game.... *edit*

Hi Redtail,

If you're still experiencing this issue with your barracks, try emptying your cache and cookies. If that does not work, contact Support for help.

The reason we implemented the downtime during upgrades for these buildings was to stick to the original idea that the player who chooses to upgrade has to decide if it's worth it for him... So as to no make the game too easy ;)

Best,

Thanks for your reaction as well BB_azariel

I have tried all those action (as i am not the one normally complaining here)

Still the issue excists; and i agree to some part that it might be good to chance it; but i think people should be aware upfront! as i started upgrading on monday and never had any idea of this impact (as normally the prov house & barracks were not hit by a production stop).

I hope you see my point to that as well! (would i otherwise have started upgrading on monday.... well i guess not; would have done that during a holiday week or maybe eventually never gone to level 5).

But as you mentioned it was dont with the maintenance this week i dont see how a support ticket in this case would help; as BB deliberatly did this?!

Ah, I hadn't realized you were already upgrading that building... Then yes it's normal.

I do understand your point but unfortunately it was a developer decision in order to make the game more logical (as other buildings would stop during upgrades).

Thanks for informing in advance... Now I have to wait 5-6 days to use my provisional house again. If I had know I wouldn't have upgrade it or at least not until I was really prepared.

Well as mentioned this is a nice *****. Mentioning its normal sounds pretty strange to me; as it isnt normal it was adjusted last night during maintenance; so instead of being normal its a adjustment of a old feature; making a new feature.

Specially the point that people were not informed upfront.... as this is a major impact to everyone in the game.... people who didnt start upgrading it do have the choice; you are right about that. But people who started upgrading there baracks/ prov. house before this mainentance are now punished...

Also people who started there upgrade are now punished double; as the normal maintance would have given them still today to build the troops! But what i really dont understand here is why arent the players informed on such important topics; which can spoil there game for a week.....

Well i guess i can keep on complaining but it aint going to help one bit..... thanks anyway for your reply BB_Azariel

It was never meant to work the way that it was, producing whilst upgrading, so think yourself lucky that you had a chance to exploit it. It's been fixed now, so just live with it.

Tierartz apperently you only post to piss people off; as all you comments (also in all other sections) are not only unhelpfull; but most of the time quit ruide! It looks like you just post for the posting; so you can have a nice number of posts.

*EDIT* my main problem in this case is that BB could have informed us upfront on such a big game changer..... *EDIT*

Redtail, I'm sorry if you hate to hear the truth. Not my fault the truth "pisses you off".

Ahhhh yes. Always throwing salt in someone's wound. Again, NOT helpful!

So many posts for someone with so little helpful to say, except to smirk at player's 'troubles'.

Once more; i am not complaining about fixing a bug here!
If there is a bugg it should be fixed; i am complaining about the fact that BB should have mentioned this upfront so they players could have taken corrective actions there selves! Instead of blundly inserting this *Bug-Fix* causing people to have no troops for a significant period of time!

I get the feeling this conversation is going nowhere.

I'm sorry I didn't warn you about this earlier. This was one of the fixes we didn't know about.

Closing this.
