Is there any reason why I haven't received any building licenes for the passed 2 days?

You gain x1 building license by destroying a building or purchasing x10 from the gem store for 650 gems.

It seems like that should be the case, but I ran out of building licenses yesterday and have since destroyed 5-10 building (exhausted mines and wheat fields) but have only received one new building license in return.
Perhaps this is a change in the game rules? Anyway, it feels like a strong push by Ubi to make us buy building licenses to continue the game.

It appears that mines use up building licenses. But destroy an exhausted mine does not free up a license.
So that pretty much limits my ability to play and not pay for the game as 90% of my mines became exhausted today. Things just became very boring...
You get the building licence for mines back when they are exhausted. Removing the exhausted mine have no effect, and is not even necessary to remove it before you search for the deposit again.
Wells and wheat fields does not use licenses at all, you can have an infinite number off those.
Why at level 35 I want to buy another 10 building licenses; after making the selection under "architect", even though I have sufficient funds, I can not complete the transaction and buy 10 more building licenses?

There are two reasons I can think of:
You might need to log out and then log in again (most likely one, especially if you obtained part of the funds this day)
You are already at bought the maximum amount of building licenses available in the store (at lvl 35 not very likely)
Why at level 35 I want to buy another 10 building licenses; after making the selection under "architect", even though I have sufficient funds, I can not complete the transaction and buy 10 more building licenses?
Do you have an active quest requiring you to spend gems in the merchant? Tools, perhaps?
Don't know, but I will check that out. The "buy" tab is always greyed out. It's been going on for several days and I need more buildings but can't buy the license. I never ran into this before.
What number is showing for you in the starred area (top-right)?

I have logged out and back in several times, including total reboots several times. There is no message as to why I am being blocked from buying building licenses.
This very frustrating. This has never happened on the U.S. version. What is going on?
The red area is showing "0". At the moment your second clip on buildings states 7 of 325. But, that is because I have mines that need to be replaced. When that number is "0", I try to buy a building license and I am blocked. What does the "0x" mean in the 10 building license buy window?
The red area shows the remaining number of times you can buy something, many items in the Merchant have limits. I've not bought a pack of Licences so mine still shows the original 18:

Fexno's post shows some have been bought and your "0" means you've bought all you can. We get 145 Licences for clearing the Island, 10 for level 32 and we can buy the 180 in the Merchant so you may have a sector still to clear or you haven't reached level 32 yet.
To free up some of the licences you've used you can upgrade buildings then remove the lower level ones, buy Noble Deeds in Trade for game resources or in the Merchant for gems and replace any houses that use a licence, and if you haven't done it already knock down your Tavern to get another licence back.

Thanks for the info. I am at level 35 and my island is all clear and has been for a while, I think I will try to knock down some of the earlier houses or other buildings. Its interesting that the U.S. version lets me go much further and I am only at level 39 there.
Did you double check your star menu? It might still contain 1x10 building licenses that you still have to apply to you Mayor's House.
It would explain why you are 10 under maximum amount of building licenses.

You have also provided new information to me that there is a limit to the number of building licenses you can have /buy.

You might want to contact Support using the contact form on this page (http://www.thesettlersonline.com/help-and-support) and ask them to help you "find" those missing building licenses.
As to why there is a limit to the number of building licenses, if you island isn't full by now I would say that they want you to leave some room for future buildings.
Just so you can tell Support you've looked everywhere you might also check your inbox for an unaccepted Loot Mail, seems a little unlikely at this point but it can't hurt to be certain.
I have looked there and there is no unopened mail or items that would go to my stores. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
My island is less then half full. I have about 40 % remaining usable space. I want to use that for new building types as I level up and able to place these new type buildings.
I contacted Support twice but never got a response.

i bought 2 noble deeds off of the TO i had 0 BL's to start with .. I planted the Deeds now i have a -1 in BL's why is that ? considering Deeds dont need BL's to build

Try a refresh, let us know if it's still -1. Sounds like it might have bugged for some reason
