The only way to change your clan tag is to abandon your guild.

Its worth noting that you must wait 24 hours after abandoning/demolishing the guild house before you can create a new one :).

Try contacting support (http://www.thesettlersonline.com/en/help-and-support), they might be able to suggest an alternative or reimburse those slots.
