Difference between trade and help?

I was just banned from chat, because I asked for people to add me because i need friends, so they can use "darkness buff" on me so I can complete the quest. I was banned on account that trading is forbidden on chat, but I wasn't asking for trade... but for help.

So, if I broke some rule please tell me, 'cos I'm confused.
