Game won'y let me complete the Coins in the street quest. I've sent my Explorer out 3 times now on a medium treasure search and it won't complete.

Done that quest today with second treasure search. It's mostly luck if you get coins.
Not bug.
I've had coins back at least twice from medium length treasure hunts and this quest is not showing as complete.

If thats the case then u need to contact support, For everyone else it took one friend over 10 medium treasure hunts to get the coins, so they do eventually come, youll know if the explorer has found some as the quest completed banner will show up b4 u even look what they found! Sometimes explorers will find special resources on a medium search such as 50 - 100 granite, 50 exotic logs, occasional 150 iron ore and 25 - 50 coins, these are the only things ive found apart from the usual marble or hardwood.
Same here. First medium treasure search got me some coins. Quest however remained oustanding.
Ever since I sent out my explorer quite often; only wood and marble.
Seems a combination of a bug and an annoyingly small chance for coins.
Sigh...5 more days gone. Still no coins found.
i find coins fairly regularly but not the right number for some reason and I cant get rid of this quest !!!! Annoying
Lucky you then....I don't know how much more often I will have to send my explorer; still no coins found since the first time.
How can you not find the right number? "Earn 1 coins"...I hope this translates as "earn at least 1 coin".
Starts to irritate. Still no coins. How many months do they want me to send out my explorer for some coins? Just as long as it takes for me not to like this game anymore?
What else are you going to do with your explorer?
It must be a bug, but only in English version. I play the Italian version too and the quest was completed when coins were found. On this server the quest is still not complete even after coins were finally found.

We run the same version/code as the Italian server (within a week), which length search are you using?

What about short or long treasure search? Explore a new sector? Or perhaps even searching for adventures?

No outlook for things to be solved, since not a single developers seems to have a look at the problems.

What about short or long treasure search? Explore a new sector? Or perhaps even searching for adventures?
Never come across anyone who hasn't been able to complete the quest for THAT long that more explorer options start opening up.
Perhaps you should consider investing in more explorers to increase your odds - and it's a good investment anyway! - and make doubly sure that you're using the correct length of search. It's VERY easy to make a simple mistake like that and plenty of people do.

Works fine, I completed this quest today on my second account on a different server. took a few days to get them but it works fine.

It works like a charm, There is no bug. Maybe you don't have the patience for this game.

I believe Gerontius advice is solid, explorers are key in mid-end game, even if it leaves you a little hard up in the short term, In the long run he will pay dividends and is well worth the investment. I have a second account on another server, My time there is very limited due to work, family life and my main account, I haven't spent anything on it and my economy is rather fragile yet I'm sure I could come up with a enough gold for another explorer. My point is why are you being so sarcastic when Gerontius is trying to help.
Sorry...wasn't personal. Getting sarcastic from several bugs blocking me in doing several of my main quests.
Perhaps I'd better leave this game; I'm not the kind of person for a beta game....at least not one without helpdesk activity taking place (except for the forum moderators, but they can't solve bugs).
I understand your frustration, And maybe his first comment wasn't the most helpful, and fuelled the fire some, But I cant fault his extra explorer tip. Have you yet joined a guild in game? Maybe a guild with some old heads (in game heads) could be of use? maybe their experience's tips and help could ease your frustration.
Are you able to give us the exact amounts of the resources you receive and when you receive them? Be interesting to see the values

How much more do you want? It's going on like this for more than a month now, and I'm sure it will continue like this much longer.
Looks like what you'd expect to me. Chances of finding gold are only around 7%. Chances of finding hardwood or marble around 40% for each.
If you'd been finding endless granite but no gold, then you'd think something was wrong...
But this is just the luck of the draw. On average it takes about 2 weeks from sheer probability, so you've beaten the odds. What more can anyone do or say? Nothing. Complaining about bad luck won't do you any good...
Even if this is just a matter of bad luck (which I'm not believing more by now), then I'm not complaining about bad luck. Then I'm complaining about getting a quest that is based on small changes to success. Such would be called "bad design".
Welcome to the wonderful world of TSO, where the developers believe in 'luck' to complete quests. Even really important, time-limited quests.
This quest is notoriously difficult to complete. Even on the test server with 10 experienced explorers it took me two weeks. On the live server it took even longer. You could always ignore it for a while and crack on with something else, and come back to it later. If I recall correctly, it's not a hugely important quest.
If this indeed a matter of bad luck, than I must be world record holder by now.....still keeping track of what I'm finding in this thread.
It once took me 40+ tries (gave up counting toward the end, it was driving me bats) and I've had it in one.
May the (good) luck of the Archipelago go with him this time out.

I believe Icegirl was just saying that while a stuck Coins in the Street isn't fun it doesn't stop one leveling or gaining abilities. Glad you can finally carry on. :)

Long time ago now but it took me 6 weeks to find a coin with 3 explorers, sending them out like clockwork every time they returned. Best be prepared to be patient.

We can't know how long as we can't rule out the possibility of some poor player who has been doing a hundred searches a day who has yet to complete the quest after many years.

from 2 months or a bit more, 35 gc only from searches so far :)
And you cry for 3 searches only ? wait after this quest there is a quest finished after like 1 month, collect 500 granite, i done with it but was so boring.
Just be patient :)
