Too many troops

If i send 2 armys to an adventure island and then use one to fight and one to get more troops, lets say that I have 500 troops on the island when the adventure is done, what happens with the 100 hundred troops that the two generals cant "carry" back?

They'll make their own way back - usually takes about an hour and a half - but they will come back

Just an update if you havnt already tried it, it actually takes 2 1/2 hours for them to come back by troop transport but they wil always come back and never get stuck on the island.

Mine did .. well they died but did not get deducted from military total so game now cannot work .. I have reported it to Support ..
