xmas event is non starter

can anyone tell me how i activate the quest line i havent been around for a month so when i came back i see xmas had started yet i dont see it in my quest area i see a crap load of level related ones which i am going through but no guild quest nor event quest tabs

No quest line as such but there are a few posts about the event.

You get a daily Special Christmas quest.. pretty minor stuff to get 10 presents. 1 quest at random will give you a map to clear for some XP and 10 presents. Long treasure hunts often bring back a bonus single present. I think it's level 26 and above for the map quest else you get some fragments (60?). If you are not getting the daily christmas quests i'd raise a ticket as there have been a shed load of bugs with quests as of late, including missing Guild Quests.

far too random, they're finding 1 present each in about 3 tries.

I can confirm it,they are the only searches mine are doing right now,you arent guaranteed 1 every search though...

I think this is the standard system for event currency that is findable during hunts. The longer the hunt the more likely you are to come back with some as a bonus so you can make 1 long hunt and have a high chance of finding a present or a number of shorter hunts in the hopes of finding more over the same time period but with a lower success rate.

Yes it works. But not so well. My explorers performed 56 searches and only 6 presents.:(
