Three geologist started at approx. 10:30 to find iron ore deposits. I've look the remaining time approx. 11:15, was everything right. Now (11:55) time remaining 35 minutes at all of them, iron ore deposits are not found... What going on? Not the first case...

same here, had 30 min till found iron ore. loged out and loged in 40 min after to find 45min remaining :( i seems to be broken with iron only
Happens with all kinds of resources... I've had geologists looking for coal and gold that's taken 6-7 hours.
I suspect the bug is the same as (or at least related to) the one that resets the timers for production cycles, as reported for the pumpkin fields here (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/20466-The-timer-for-the-pumpkins-are-broken).
Any chance BB could acknowledge this? :)
BB has acknowledge that to a support ticket i filled, they suggested i wouldnt log off will the geologist searches.
And another similar problem, was that he came empty because too many deposits of this type exist, where of course i had collapsed mines...
(and yes i had already refreshed etc, it was not falsy showing collpased mine)

I can confirm that this problem is still very much occurring.
Send geologist to any resource then log out or shut down machine and then approximately every 1 in 10 times when you log back in the geologist timer will be reset back to the full time it takes for that particular resource.
I also expect this happens with many types of buildings but I haven't got any conclusive information yet to report that one.
There are other times this happens which I've experienced as well, see here (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/21256-Geologist-restart-in-Adventure?highlight=geologist+time)
Also when leaving an adventure island or going to one when you have just sent a general but the general hasn't yet set of as the camp is still being dismantled, often when going back the timer for the journey is reset back to the start.
So far we have three identified problems with timers being reset.
1: Geologist Timers
2: Pumpkin Field Timers - Which I also belive affects other buildings
3: General Timers
For one I'd like to see these timer problems resolved soon, as we all know this game is slow as it is and I really don't want to have to contend with bug that makes it even slower.
E.g. I sent 2 normal geologists to find coal, I then logged in 4 hours later and the timers had reset, not funny at all.
Send two geologist out for marble, at least 1 and maybe 2 hours ago. They'll be finished in 10 minutes....
hi there. i want to report a rather annoying bug.
this happens when i'm on an adventure. i let my explorers search for new iron ore deposits. when i go to my adventure island, and then go back to my main island, the search time from the explorers resets completely. setting the timers back to 30 minutes (fast explorers). the same thing happends when i send my generals to the adventure island. if i send them (slow generals), after 20-25 minutes, i'm going to the adventure island myself. when the new adventure map is loaded, i check my star menu, and the traveling time of the generals has been reset to 30 minutes again. as if the countdown only starts when i visit the adventure island. i takes me 1 hour to send 1 general this way. and also double the time needed to find deposits on my island, because of the switching between my island and the adventure island. reloading the game doesn't help, because this isn't the first time I've noticed this bug. i would appreciate it, if this is being looked at.
extra info;
running the game in Chrome on a win7 machine.
adventure; bandits nest
I had my explorers (3 savage scouts, 3 normal explorers) gain an extra 3 hours or so on short adventure hunts yesterday.
Not the first time I've seen it but this time I sent my savage scouts around 9:15am (short adv search -12 hours) and they didnt return until around 1am.
My normal explorers were also delayed, they got sent out at around 1:30pm and at 6pm had only been "searching" for 3 hours so had 21 hours remaining.
Similar bug to the geologist one
Sometimes see the timer acting strange when you 1st start an adventure, for instance a 2 day adv delays in popping up, and when it does, there's a day and a half left, not the full amount.

I'm having the same issue with my explorers: yesterday i sent them out for a long treasure search, which lasts 1 day, at somewhere between 21h and 22h. Now i checked back and they're still on themove for more than 2 hours (23h50)
I also started upgrading a marble mason from lvl 3 to 4 around that same time (which should take 1 day). It's at 90% now
The bug still exists. I have 2 geologists out to find gold deposits, still haven't returned after ~5 hours. Their timers show 3 hours and 30 mins remaining

Same thing: geologist had 20 minutes left to find coal (just in time to replace the coal mine after it would have run out). I logged out, logged back in, and then there were 3 hours left.
Since this was right before sleepy time, it cost me a whole night of coal production. Not the worst bug in the game right now, but a fix would be appreciated.
sooooooooooo frustrating :/ 3 geos out for gold since this afternoon! They reset 2 times in a row, I'm talking 10+ hours

I have had this bug very rarely. I only look for copper, marble and gold deposits. Both times it happened I was playing SotW adventure and visiting the adventure repeatedly.

Good news! I got a reply from Support on the issue:
This is something we are aware of and our developers are working on the issue, Sorry about any issue this is causing and we will have this corrected as soon as we can.
Almost 4 months late, and still counting

any body answer why i cant mine stone or marble what so ever. i cant build anything to produce marble or stone. i cant pull mines down. that have marble. but they will not mine.seriously stuck played 2 yrs on off.
Hey, you need to build a Mason (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/22721) for Stone (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/22145) and a Marble Mason (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/22739) for Marble (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/22826), you don't place these buildings on top of the deposit, just between the deposit and the Storehouse (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/22725).

Hi, I got the problem with gold deposit search today morning....
I just had that today also with searching gold deposits, was anctious to find the two i had accidentilly canceled building (also strange, cancel building in queue and deposit dissappears also :( ) anyways, my geo's we're at 14 minutes to go, finished sotv for crisis, came back to find out was still 3 hours remaining... oddity
Also seem to be going through another phase of having to send the geologists twice. The first send they turn grey, but the audio cue does not go off, then a few minutes later they are available again in the star menu. Usually related to bad lag issues.
Hi everyone,
The problem I have been experiencing lately is, when timing the geologist to find a new deposit a few minutes AFTER the mine has collapsed - he comes back empty handed, the message stating the maximum number of deposits has been reached when, in fact, a collapsed deposit (or mine) has been available for 10 minutes or more.
In the past I only experienced this problem with the copper mines.
Now it seems to have extended to marble deposits and iron mines.
Hope this can be sorted out soon!
Thanks!
nim.
Indeed, it appears you have to send them out to search after the mine/deposit has depleted
Hey Peck_ed,
Thanks for replying.
Well, the thing is... sometimes it works to time it right - sometimes it doesn't... even if you leave a decent amount of time so that you actually see the deposit collapse and stay that way for a few minutes.
Just today I experienced another bug that has been described several times here:
Sent a normal geo to look for an already collapsed coal mine. Stayed logged in. At some point noticed only half an hour left for him to finish. Then decided to start Lost Skull. Just before I finished it decided to go back to the home island to check on things.
And found out that the geo has reset... and still had another 3h and 55m to go...
As further info I'm running google chrome on windows 7.
It would be nice if the developers addressed this issue soon in the near future.
Many thanks!
nim.
Hi everyone,
Okay, spotted another problem with time-restart, travel time alterations for Generals.
I'm gonna post here the lines from the News feed so that it's easier to see what happened:
[09:32] System: Your general is traveling to another zone.
[09:33] System: Your general is traveling to another zone.
[09:33] System: Your general is traveling to another zone.
(first batch of generals dispatched: 1 vet, 2 normal)
[09:47] System: Your general is traveling to another zone.
(3rd normal gen sent)
[10:05] System: Your general is moving to a new position.
(the Vet gen has arrived, since I was able to move it around...)
And only now the other generals arrive:
first 2 normal gens arrived at exactly 10.19
[10:20] System: Your general is moving to a new position.
[10:20] System: Your general is moving to a new position.
and the 3rd one at 10.21
[10:22] System: Your general is moving to a new position.
So, clearly the times are off. Seems like the sending of that 3rd normal general somehow scrambled and mixed up the times for the other 2 normal generals...
Anyway, I hope this info helps the developers figure out what's happening!
Thanks!
nim.

I've been experiencing timer restarts for my Geologists ... I've noticed it mostly with Marble deposits and it has only happened the last few days (since around Thursday 6th of June).
It seems to happen when I leave my island view and visit a friend's island or the island on which I am adventuring (currently Tropical Sun).
To be clear ... I haven't noticed this before this past week and only noticed it on Marble searches.
cheers,
RaraRacing.
