View Full Version : When will the lag stop?

I can hardly browse the forum, the servers are so overloaded. On peak hours it's impossible to do adventures, it takes a minute to assign troops and it's impossible to execute blocks.
It takes minutes to login. When will this stop? This makes it impossible to play...

Hi QuIzTiD, forum appears okay to myself and haven't heard to much else from other users of late, if this continues please try and contact support (http://www.thesettlersonline.com/en/help-and-support) to resolve your issues

I have heard it from several people, it's hard to assign troops and stuff takes forever to load. But sure, I'll ask support about it...

Maybe try something like a speedtest (http://speedtest.net/) and let us know the results

lag means too many players on the same server. The speedtest thingie won't help you with this. All of the players with who I talked today had the same problems, buffs being badly processed, blocks not working, generals takes ages to unload/load etc etc.

Looking at the fact that the guildlights are also AGAIN missing its clear, somebody at BB managed to put the wrong version of the game back on the server when they disabled the Xmast event. I must say that the quality of this game is decreasing per week.

I too have the above lags in my game but i just stop playing when it's bad as i don't see any improvments from BB and support only give you an automated reply to clear browser and update flash drive. I guess i just keep it up till it becomes no longer worthy of me playing

How it can be possible that my genaral has passed a blocked camp influence area and it's not even near of it when blocking general lose his battle that passed general turns back and attack that wrong camp. What a ( Censored ) development.

Please don't swear

Thanks,

Blocking isn't supported by BB, it's just a work around for skipping camps that players have figured out to use, so they didn't really actually develop that at all

Yes, but camps have area of influence and if my general has passed it and is 2 inches away from it general shouldn't turn back. And point is that I want to trust on that what I see on my screen so when I send more than 1 general right after other to kill camps they go on that order and some of them don't stop and others don't passes them so wrong generals arrives on a wrong camps.

Or have they develop this game so that you need only 1 general because now if you use more than one you can't never be sure what happens?

Three advantages of having a 2nd general are being able to attack still if your first wave doesn't kill your target, the 2nd being that you can attack more than one area at once and the 3rd advantage is allowing you to transport more troops faster to your destination.

When you start transfering 2000+ troops to the adventure island, you'll see the main benefits of having more generals. At 30 minutes travel time each way, one normal general is not enough.

What do you mean it's not supported by BB? Influence area disappears while there's battle going on in an enemy camp, allowing for another general to pass from that area uninterrupted. It IS part of the game.

Lag is a current hot issue of the game, stop trying to blame the players for it. Your answer makes no sense at all

Agree.

See a general go into first camp, see general 2 go into another camp, see it start the fight there and find out general 2 got intercepted by camp 1 without a warning has nothing to do with blocks not being supported !
And this happened more than once on the same adventure.

See generals stop walking, then see them run ?

Lag.

Hello!

As peck_ed already mentioned, blocking isn't an official game mechanism.

Blue Byte are working on a fix for the lag issues :).
