View Full Version : Building Upgrade Timer
Please can we have a timer in the building menu (similar to buff timer) for buildings being upgraded.. as level 4>5 takes 7 days, would be nice to know how many days and hours left, instead of trying to work out how long each % is..
Example of what this could look like..

space has been left for buff icon and timer

Interesting idea but I wonder what use it would be as you still have to wait for the upgrade to finish, still it would be nice to know how long you have to wait. +4

Just one more little thing in this context. When upgrading, there is no production in that building, but Economy overview calculates as if there were. This is not a problem when step from level 1 to level 2, it is usually just 2,5 minute. But there are significantly much longer upgrading times, when this can cause incorrect calculations and planning. Other hand, when a building buffed, this effect calculated for 12 hours regardless the real duration.
I'd also want to see a timer for upgrades but sugests the already existing production meter instead.
As we all already know, there is no production when a building being upgraded.
Therefore you can use that timer to account for the progress of upgrading instead.

still think this idea is worthy.. its been about 10 or 11 months and i still wish we had this in game..!
do any dev's actually look at these suggestion threads?

Don't think so. I have seen this suggestion before and +1'ed it too, but it doesn't seem as if it is interesting for dev ... too easy perhaps :o)
oh and as I have said before: If they deciede to do easy things, then stop having the time remaining for production in book binder hide the cost of production .. it's really annoying... and there are plenty of space below the selection menu....
but then they have to answer why if I upgrade it at 22:00 today in 7 days it won't be done at 2:05 yet (even later with more maints)
or is that just at my island?
You would never get a true reading with all the [ Removed ] lag we have to put up with :(

Hm. I like this idea, but suggest different color, let say blue, avoiding confuson. But, just to be exact, there is production during upgrade, just no transporting. Similar to caused by fully filled storehouse or pausing. So, if the level up time shorter then rest of production cycle, that time will not extend production time.
I think it would be nice with a timer on a building that is currently being upgraded.
Not visible on the world map but if you enter that buildings menu there would be a timer that tells you that the upgrade is complete in X amount of minutes/hours/seconds/what have you.
The % is nice and all, but I think a timer would be so much... nicer.
