Presents may also be purchased in the Merchant Chest, received from Christmas Adventures, and found during Treasure Searches by an Explorer (during the Christmas Event only).

Although as yet unconfirmed, it is assumed that the rate at which presents are found by an Explorer, is the same as the rate at which Eggs are found during the Easter Event, which would be:

Just had 17 explorers return from Very Long search only 3 of which found presents so its not 100% for Very Long search.

Thanks PChamps. I've also just been told by a guildmate that he's had explorers return with 10, 20 and 63 presents, so a max of 5 is wrong too - guess my assumption was wrong... *sigh*
