Description
The Mayor's house is the one building you don't build and cannot destroy, it is your main storage and can be upgraded to hold additional resources. It will allow you to store 500 from the start. It produces one Settler every 15 minutes so long as is there is room for them and it will continue to produce settlers even while upgrading. However collection buffs being produced will halt during upgrades.

For information on collectibles which are done via the Mayor's house, please check here

Contrary to in-game text upgrading the Mayor's House and/or Storehouses will not increase your population limit, only Residences, Noble Residences, and Floating Houses will do that.

Updated to remove the Settler as the production for this building, clearly aren't as they production of settlers doesn't freeze when you upgrade this building! Thanks Fexno and Iolanthe!

it's the only building to continue producing whilst upgrading.

Not a biggie, but it does not produce the new collectable buffs while upgrading ;)

At first sight the level productions are a little bit confusing, due to the "+" sign (these are sums). The small print in storehouse's similar place would be here too. It really dispels the doubts.

It states under that image that: "Please note these values are the total storage capacity at each level, not how much is increased per upgrade"
I agree, that as a total amount, it would make more sense to have it without the '+', or maybe something like:
Level 1: 500 Storage
Level 2: 2,100 Storage (+1,600)
Level 3: 3,600 Storage (+1,500)
Level 4: 6,600 Storage (+3,000)
Level 5: 10,600 Storage (+4,000)

Please note these values are the total storage capacity at each level, not how much is increased per upgrade
That's what I thought :) Now it is on, so no dubt. Thanks Fexno.

does update mayor's house increase the buff prodution rate?

Nope, and while the Mayor is upgrading no buffs can be produced. Production pauses like on all upgrading buildings though Settlers will still come if you have room for them.
