Description
The Guild House allows you to start your own Guild. When built you will be able to create a guild with a maximum troop count of 15. You can buy additional guild licences from the Merchant to increase your maximum guild member limit, this can be expanded up to a maximum of 100 members.

If you knock down the Guild House once you have founded your guild, your guild will disband.

You can add Guild Licences to a guild house to increase the amount of people that are allowed in your guild, the starting count is 15, maximum count is 100, let me add that into the guide! But at the moment it stays at level 1

so what are the benefits of being in/starting a guild?

Mostly getting Guild Coins from the Guild Quests, you can check out the items you can exchange them for in the merchant, at the moment the best item is another building queue slot for 10,500 Guild Coins

Boss...I have a Guildhouse I bought and built very early on in my Settlers journey. that was a mistake because I thought we had to have one to JOIN a Guild. It is of no use to me but I cannot dispose of it by usual trading routes. Any suggestions please?

Is this a gem based one? If so, I'm not really sure what you can do it with it now I'm afraid!

Is it possible for one player to start a guild, and then hand guild leadership to another player?

At present there is no way for this to happen. There is a game suggestion thread for it here (http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/22912-Transfer-Guild-Ownership)

First you will need to make a Guild House, once you have done that you can create a guild and will have a 15 person Guild Member limit.

You will then need to invite other players into your Guild, when you have 10 members you start getting Guild Quests in which you get Guild Coins for completing. You can purchase items from the Merchant for Guild Coins in the Guild Market section

As you are on the Newfoundland server your best place to recruit members will be here in the forum, if you state the name of your Guild and the purpose/benefits over other Guilds you will likely be better placed to lure in members

Hope that helps, any questions feel free to ask!

So I have a guild house. It's level 1 as I haven't added any licenses. My friend's guild house appears level 1 to me and anyone visiting his island, but it appears level 2 for him as his guild is larger. I can move my guild house using the move building tool, but he can't. Why is this? They are both built from the build menu (not purchased with gems).

You need 10 active Guild Members to receive a Guild Quest

There are nice building upgrades there, but why they are not in the game yet? When they will be implemented? Also, i like the tavern upgrades as well. Any chance in the near future for upgrades? :)

After building the guild house, you can access the guild options via the guild shield:
