trade office in the merchant menu

what is the point of having a trade office in the merchant menu ? is there any benefit to have 2 trade offices ?

It's a trade office "deed": doesn't use a building licence

At this point, yes.

Many moons ago the Trade Office in the build menu didn't unlock till level 17 and it took much longer to get there, if you purchased the one for gems the ability to trade immediately made earlier levels much faster. Now... it's really just a very expensive License.
