Nice with a load of new things happening in our favorit game, but I'm stuck on the "Reading Material" quest.
One of the requirements is having a production level of 160 or more of Iron, and I've shut down my smelters, and have a production of Iron of over 1k per 12 hours, yet the quest doesn't recognise this, and let me finish it....

Hope this will be sorted out quickly, as I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem (according to the response I got in the Help chat) :-)

Thanks for this update btw! :-D

EDIT: Someone pointed out it was bars, but I doubted it since the quest doesn't say bars at all, but I tried it and it worked!!
So basically it comes down to the description should be changed to bars, so there's no doubt what Iron means.

"Iron", "Gold", "Bronze" and "Steel" all mean the Ingots/Bars. I haven't reached those Quests yet but if it isn't a typo the Smelters are exactly what need to be producing instead of mines which produce "Iron Ore", Gold Ore" and "Copper Ore".

Re the edit to the original post after Iolanthe's answer, I'm afraid arguing with Iolanthe who knows better than most people how to play this game just makes you look a little silly.

Go read the actual names of the different materials in your storehouse if you really feel the need to see why you got it wrong.

Yes it is an Iron that has to be produced, but not iron ore.

Yes, it's another case of poor translation.
If you go into the various buildings and hover the mouse over the output, you will see that the mines produce "iron ore", and the smelters produce "iron", not ingots or bars as we would usually call them.
