i started to make a manuscript last night at around 11pm. my bookbinder is level 3 and it said it would take around 20 hours. i checked the progress today after 11am and it informed me i still had 16 hours left! i checked again around 1 hour later and now it was saying i had 18 hours left! now after having refreshed it is telling me i have 19 hours 59 minutes left for completion! what the hell?
This happened on test. They said they'd fixed it. Clearly not...

i tried clearing the cache, logging out and back in and the timer reset itself to 19 hours 59 minutes. i just checked the progress and the timer must have reset again because now it has 19 hours 2 minutes to go yet i checked it just over an hour ago and it was around 16 hours to go!
Are you able to force repeat this? I'd like to try apply the same method that resets yours on my island if I can
Hey Dangermouse69, do you mind if I merge the other duplicate thread in here to help prevent duplicate posts?

yup. i should have asked to have the other thread moved here :o)
btw what did you mean force repeat it in the other thread?
Thanks

I just mean, if you wanted to, can you make it reset again by doing a certain thing? Like if you refresh does it reset, if you go to a friends island does that cause it?
Something I can try on my island to see if its the same problem for everyone

i just logged out and logged back in and the timer had reset. after a few minutes i visited a friends island then returned to my island and the timer had reset again.

Not sure if my issue is related or if it's an issue, but the first manuscript i produced just 'disappeared'. Did the first book quest take my manuscript or should I actually have a manuscript in my resources ready for use on my geologist?

Did you start production on any other books?

Yes I did. Manuscript finished and then I selected to produce the Tome (which is still in production)

Ah, that uses a Manuscript as part of the required resources, will explain where it went :)

Have you spoken to Support (http://www.thesettlersonline.com/en/help-and-support) about this at all? Tried to replicate this on mine and it doesn't appear to happen.
(As well as the usual clear cache, different browser, another machine etc etc)
On the test server this 'production timer reset' seemed to only affect a few people.
Perhaps you could read through This Test Server Bug Thread (http://forum.tsotesting.com/threads/18534-Bookbinder-production-time) and see if they reached any conclusion over there.

yeah peck_ed, i let support know yesterday. it seems to be hit and miss when it happens as i visited my friends island last night and the timer didn't reset, and i've been doing traitors and have been back and forth to that island and the timer didn't reset. it hasn't reset over night either and is at 9 hours 30 minutes as i type this.
Exactly the same thing happened to me. Using chrome and haven't flushed cache or anything.
My bookbinder's just had a wobble. Got the book completed animation, clicked collect but no book went to the storehouse now the timer is at 10 hours. Which I think is about right so I've not lost out, but it's glitchy.

seems to be working fine now. i haven't had any timer resets since the last time i reported one.
