Seems you've forgotten the largest empire ever existing, so I will go for: Djenhis Kahn, Koeblai Khan and perhaps also for Timoer Lenk.

Or otherwise some generals of another enormous empire: Flavius Aetius, Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus maior, Lucius Cornelius Sulla, Probus

And what about Napolean, Jeanne d'Arc, Maurits van Nassau?

Or: Arthur, Lancelot, Gawain, Dagonet, Galahad, Gareth, Kay, Mordred and Tristram?

Yes well there were lots of candidates and I only have so many slots, the new logistics general is going to be named Szun Tzu.
Also, I don't call them "the great" or "the elder" as they were probably not known by that name when they still lived. And my generals are very much alive. ;-)

jollyfog, I had problems with renamning one general too, it just kept reverting back to the old name. But then I decided to call it something else and it worked.

I named mine after family members then TV detectives :)
It just made them easier to distinguish.

Perhaps I should have named them after officers in actually served under in the army - anyone done that?
