Bookbinder Manuscript lost

I made my 2nd manuscript however this time it does show up that I have made one. ie still shows 0 manuscripts in my inventory...
Has anyone had this happen?
making a tome now..hope the same doesn't happen

Question to ask yourself before continuing to think this is a bug: What are the requirements for making a tome?

I made one manuscript and during the period that I 'collected' it and stayed playing, it showed as 1 in the inventory. When I came back into the game, the inventory read 0 for manuscripts. I tried logging back once more, to see if it was a glitch - it's still showing 0. I haven't knowingly tried to use it (if you can with 1 manuscript??) - am I missing something or this a bug??

I'll try to be more clear since nobody here seems to be able to answer the question I posed:

When you make a tome, it USES a manuscript.

Absolutely everyone I have seen with this problem, it has turned out that they'd set their bookbinder making a tome, and a tome uses up the manuscript that they had just made and that was where it had gone.

MasteroftheHouse even mentioned he was making a tome in the original post, yet somehow overlooked this key piece of information himself.

Why is beyond me, Nobody has yet made the Min. 20 Manuscripts you need to have made before they can use it!

Another option is that you may have used the manuscript on a Geologist to improve his skills. I thought I'd lost a manuscript and then remembered that one of my Geologists is now more skilled....

Lol, A couple of ppl have asked me if this is a bug. Its almost as if they don't read what resource is needed to make a tome. Plus whoever follows the quests will have a codex sitting there for weeks until they can use it! In my case, months as I'm only lev 40 and the best stuff is in the top tier. Bit annoying, but great for lev 50's!

I used 4 of my manuscripts on my geols but now it only shows I have used one

I have created 3 manuscripts. The first one worked and was applied to a Geo. The second and third completed but are nowhere to be seen. I select a geo or general and it shows as none to alllocate. After spending days creating them, they are missing.
