View Full Version : Hard choice: should I press the cancel button?
When a player clicks the "cancel adventure" button (note, that this can happen by accident easily, it's just below the "send army back" button), the following window comes up:
5398

Now a player who do not want to cancel the adv has to decide: that cancel button will cancel the window (going back to the adv) or will it cancel the adv. itself?
I deciced it was best to just reload the game...

Hello minekaz,
Pressing ok will quit the adventure.
Pressing cancel will take you back to the adventure.
I found out the hard way :(.

That is what I'd like others to avoid, so I sent this thread to support as a bug report.
Thx!
Technically not a bug just poorly worded
Yes and No would probably be better options
Do you want to cancel the adventure? Yes
Do you want to cancel the adventure? No
has a nasty habit of popping directly under your cursor just as you've clicked the ok button for the final quest, so be very light with those mouse fingers.
Cancel your cancel action. Not that difficult I would say...standard behavior in most Windows based applications.
trouble is, Windoze never follows 'standards'.
For me the problem is where this pops up, the cancel is directly under where I have just clicked to finish the quest, and it only takes a slightly heavy touch/brief mouse malfunction to waste the whole adv.

I think they need to change the order, or make it so that you have to go somewhere else entirely for the cancel advent button

Not for the people using Android/Linux/Amiga.

Hey, as a programmer I can say it is really poor UX design in this rare case. I had the same and I expect buttons to be renamed to "Yes"/"No" or "Cancel adventure"/"Go back".
I made the same error....twice, unfortunately I have the memory span of a goldfish and couldn't remember what i did the first time i made the same mistake........
