View Full Version : Logout in Google Chrome

Personally I prefer using Google Chrome for playing this game.
However, there seems to be a minor issue when you click the red logout button in the game.

9 out of 10 times, I get a "server call failed" or "connection to server lost" message.
When using Internet Explorer, I'm always logged out correctly.

Why not simply closing the tab? No error displays that way and it works great in any browser.

My IT background tells me that your session is not closed by doing so, leaving it to a time out mechanism in the background closing it (e.g. after an hour).
The nice way is to close is via a logout button therefore; that's most likely why this game contains such a button.

I really hope that you're not closing your online banking system the same way. That's really inviting hackers by leaving all doors wide open.

I do log out from game and banking but I just don't care about error in TSO as it's irrelevant to me.

I'm using chrome aswell however I've never had this issue. Probably something with your settings or an addon interfering with it.

Didn't I mention that it's not about errors in TSO, but about leaving the door open for hackers?

Take it to support then and tell them to define "server call failed" for you. I'm sure they will answer your questions and if not then pest them long enough to provide you satisfying answer.

Well, in the end the same thing applies for me as for you. I don't care if TSO has errors or other problems such as hackers - as long as we all don't suffer from it of course.
Nevertheless I though: let's inform them. I did so hereby.
