The 100% drop chance of finding loot/fast mines has been fixed during maintenance

The rebuildable fields we received as presents was fixed rather quickly to

so it appears that any bug seen to be in the players favour is fixed fast as you like. Yet bugs that hinder a player are left to rot in some corner of the devs desk.

Shame on you BB :(

thing is maybe if people stopped moaning like in a previous thread about is this a bug why does it happen then maybe they would fix bugs that hinder game.
i dont know why some people feel the need to moan on other treads when their is something in their favor in the game rather than moan about the bad stuff that wont work right so ok shame on bb sorting these out faster than other bugs that does affect game play for the worse but also shame on them in other posts moaning they were getting faster mines or loot drops ect all the time.

but how long do you think it will take them to fix the new bug "deals i cant afford" that keeps turning itself on after every refresh on the Trade Office. Bet they dont fix that within days. Utterly useless

I have been complaining long about how the game can not count right. There are quests that want me to buff X ammount of building and I always have to buff X+5 or X+10 or X+15 in order for the game to count X. I know how to buff and I do it right

They're not necessarily comparable.
This bug (and the fields) affected everyone, and was endlessly reproducible. This makes it much easier to examine and fix.

Other annoying bugs tend to be intermittent, don't affect everyone, and can be difficult to reproduce. Acknowledging that these types of bugs exist doesn't mean you know what's actually wrong or how to fix it.

(Note, this doesn't mean that I'm any happier about some of the other long running bugs still being there either)

Affected everyone positively. Unlike purely negative bugs which should always be prioritized. There is no such thing as "not knowing how to fix".

Of course there's such a thing as not knowing how to fix. If it's not easy to replicate, it can be hard to know exactly what fell over and where.

Again, there's every likelihood that this was an easy fix. Easy wins should always be taken.
"Team, I need you to only work on hard things, don't worry about any easy thing until you've solved all of the hard things" would be a disaster.

You mean. BB would actually have something to do?

Need I really define what priority means? In this case it is prioritizing maintaining and repairing what you already have instead of creating new content that most of the time also need maintenance shortly after release.

I'm not surprised priorities are how they are in this capitalistic world, but I will not hesitate to speak my mind of how it actually should be.

You put one guy to work on the easy things and you put rest of the team to work on the hard things, and they will finish simultaneously. You need both "easy" and "hard" things for it all to work. Prioritizing one over the other is futile and provide a very bad product, with very many angry customers.

Just a quick note, like I said in the original thread, when a bug appears that actually is in our favour its probably best to not make a thread saying "100% copper mineshafts". Like the original wheatfield bug once it gets reported here you've had it and its a matter of time till they (bb) jump on it.
As its been discussed above fixing things like this is more of a priority than sorting out a bug that can reset your island! Sad indeed!

I have to back Thrade up here, I've worked in support for a number of years and quite simply regardless of how many people complain about a problem, if you can not replicate the problem it is very hard to find the cause and if you can not find the cause, how the hell can you fix it?

Thrade is correct, though it still leaves us unsatisfied, shame on you BB!

This wasn't even what I would call a bug. The code was working fine and the geos and mines were doing exactly what they were supposed to... it's just that they were doing it 100% of the time. All it probably will have taken (IMO, not a fact) is a quick change of one setting to get the %s working correctly again. Can't blame BB for making what will have been an easy fix, as others have said. Sure it rankles when longstanding bugs are still around, but, as others have said, it all comes down to how easy it is to replicate a bug. When it's easy to replicate the exact circumstances then sorting a bug is easy, but when a bug occurs in what appear to be almost random circumstances it becomes an absolute nightmare to find, never mind fix.

Tell that to three different mechanics who stripped down and rebuilt the front suspension on my car to find out what was making a knocking noise. It's been deemed safe but is still making a noise when I put it on full lock.

Yes, there's definitely a 'can't find it and run out of ideas on what might be causing it' option.

Just like the 0% drops of granite from adventurers and explorers?

If even true, no, they're not the same.
We're talking about this bug being easy due to being perfectly, 100% reproducable, all of the time.
I get granite reasonably regularly from adventures and explorers, and know many do. Clearly not affecting everyone.

There was a specific maintenance last November which proved to be a game-changer for a lot of us.
Chances to find granite fell to almost 0, and it's almost as if at that time, loot and explorer finds became 'fixed', in much the same way as the Guild Quests, where you always hit the same one, over and over.
Almost as if your finds were 'set in stone' from that point on.

5 explorers and if I send them out every day on 24 hour searches by the end of the week about 20 searches yield granite for me.

Its working as intended now.

Found quality shafts copper mines every 2-3 searches - have it at level 3, so 45% chance.
