View Full Version : Event/resources and new players?

Strikes me some players without guilds have started posting immense (100k+) resource trades in the trade office since we acheived 100% for the event.
Maybe I am suspicious, but how can previously unknown traders suddenly accumulate that kind of resource?
Something stinks :(
Maybe they didn't take part,
maybe they got resources under false pretenses
or maybe they stocked up really well we wont really know but if your suspicious you don't have to trade with them just keep a eye out for them in future say on Monday etc when round 2 starts see if they do the same again.
just got to be aware i suppose, but to be honest though i know you can get a lot of resources if you trade well for a couple of hours so they might just be getting lucky and selling them on :s im not defending or condemning them just it is a strange one.
but i would keep eye out for them in future

even if the 1st part is true hun, im so disappointed that the goods they have were not used for the benefit of the server or previously offered to the trade channel at reasonable prices to enable us to get to the required % faster..
No idea if this is the case, but the following scenario is perfectly possible:
1. Player ramps up production of a resource to convert to balloons.
2. Server reaches 100%.
3. Player cannot or does not change production plan, ending up with a lot of extra resources.
4. Player sells resources.
I know some in my guild who could generate tens of thousands of some resources in quite a short time. I point all this out simply to show that one should not necessarily jump to the conclusion that something dodgy is going on.

I agree with all you have said above, yet when you also see they are selling the said 100k water and asking for 1k gold coins for it, you can see this is not a normal TO trade.. This is not an isolated incident either.

If it's water, then that backs up what I theorised, because water wells are the cheapest thing to build and could generate the amounts that quickly. I'd now say there's nothing dodgy about this at all. You are right it's not a normal TO trade, but normally there's no need to make 100,000 surplus water. That's all that's going on here.
