Upgrading Barracks to level 5 is taking longer than 7 days.

I stared my barracks upgrading last Thursday night and it's currently saying only 82% completed. By my calculations it's running about 24 hours behind (as I write this).

Before anyone asks at I was sitting in a field in Devon on Friday afternoon through to Sunday so I know I started the upgrade before I left.

Any ideas people?

Your island including upgrading buildings stop after 24hrs of you being logged out, unless a friend visits (and buffs) you.

Could that be why?

I am sure someone said upgrades are not affected by not logging in for 24 hours meaning they wont stop only production will.

It's not an uncommon belief but I'm afraid it's mistaken, a paused Island is fully paused "unless a friend visits (and buffs) you." As above.

The (and buffs) part seems to be up in the air at the moment and just visiting may be enough though a quick buff is a good way to be sure.

Iolanthe you are correct.

BB Response: You account becomes inactive after 24 hours of inactivity. Once the account goes inactive, all aspects of the account will pause, including any upgrades you might be doing.

And there was also some maintenance in between.

Maintenance doesn't affect upgrades, or production. The only thing it changes is the Adventure timer, extra hours are added there as a safety.
