I have 3 explorers all at the limit of manuscripts and each has several tomes however I have to upgrade an explorer with a manuscrift, which can`t be done unless I loose half my manuscripts and tomes on 1 explorer.

Will this be satisfied with a tome upgrade for an explorer? or is it a bug?

I seriously doubt using a tome will satisfy a "use a manuscript" quest.

I'd recommend getting another explorer & sticking a manu on him. You won't regret having a 4th explorer.

I've a [problem with this quest also... 4th element is called Mastery. Qualifications include completing "Gold Standard" and "Artisanry" I've done Artisanry, but can't find Gold Standard anywhere. Anyone got any clues?

"Gold Standard" is the last of three quests in "Bestsellers", "Bestsellers" unlocks at level 40 when the production balancing "A Question of Style" is completed. Hope that helps a bit.

This isn't the first time people have been lost whilst seeking this quest, it's fairly confusing when one must hunt through a collection of quests to find one with pre-reqs of its own hidden at the bottom of a scroll bar. Assuming of course it's even actually already appeared in the Quest Book.

It's also a bit strange that while the lowest tier in the Explorer skilltree isn't available until level 26 the quest to 'use a Manuscript on an Explorer' can show up as early as 16. The only explanation I can think of is that it serves as a heads up (for 10 levels) that Books can be used on a number of things.

As an aside these quests to spend books seem no less poorly thought out than they did a few days ago when they arrived, there are much more economical ways to skill a specialist in a manner that suits a player than the path presented in the quests.

Hi Iolanthe,

thanks for the explanation! And +1 for EkimNagrom and SinnedD. :D
I have also the quest "Vocational training" open in my quest book. This quest has a subquest called "Mastery". In order to unlock "Mastery" the following quests must be completed: "Gold standard", "Artisanry". I have already completed "Artisanry".
Does anyone know how to get "Gold standard" into my quest book? I can't see "Bestsellers" nor "A Question of Style". :( This is very confusing!
I think it would make more sence if the quest "Mastery" also contained "Player level 40 required" in its unlock-list.

I have a main quest "Vocational training" where the last sub quest - "Mastery quest" says that 2 other quests must be completed before.
It is:
- Gold standard
- Artisanry
See screenshot.

I see no where following quests.
Can anyone tell me please how can I start this one or is that a bug in the game ?

Yes the quest should be changed so you only use 5 manus, and 5 tomes on each geologist and each exporer. Now you have to use book s that you will later want to reclaime, and lose 50% of them or have to use gems, it sucks that the only way you can solve these quest is by doing somehing you will later regret.
