View Full Version : Unable to place general in same position as previously

Well, I know BB do not support blocking, and whilst this "bug" is at the root of my complaint, it surely shouldn't exist in the first place.
I'm trying to place a general in a position I have previously managed to have him in before, however, as I have done the adventure many times before, a new "dirt track" has generated itself and is now blocking my intended position. (There is no longer a green haze in that particular spot).
I have cleared cache, shut down computer, re-logged etc, but it doesn't help. This error occurs on Clever Little Tailor AND Sons of the Little Tailor.
As I say, this could hinder any player who needs to get into a position (even without blocking), and if a space is supposed to be available, then it must be classed as a technical issue, surely?
Anyone else who has encountered this, please can you add your experiences here in order that BB sort this out?

Exit the game and restart it. That will remove all dirt roads and enable you to place your generals.
This has come up in a number of times in Help and several times in Killste's Collected, the best advice seems to be:
I know roads are supposed to vanish after reloading game. I tried multiple times, in all different ways I could think (from the adventure island or not, hitting the logout button or just closing the browser, etc), also tried a different browser and clearing the cache. Didn't get it working. In the end I killed the camp instead of blocking it. After I did so, the roads were gone :-) Anyone know more about how this "feature" actually works this?
I don't really now how soon those dirt roads disappear,
I only know that sooner or later they are gone,
and that it's usually sooner if you log out and back in again. :)
And Hairy was quicker! :D

I've exited the game and even shut down my PC etc, but it hasn't solved it for me :(
I think some roads might disappear... I am not convinced that all do.
In several of the tailor adv there are new roads, they have not disappeared for me after logging in/out. They were also still there after maintenance... Are we sure that all roads disappear?
As jollyfog says - BB does not support blocks. I do find it peculiar how most "new" roads seem to be in a position that makes many of the best known blocks useless. In some adv you can work out alternative placements quite easily, others not so easy.

While BB doesn't support blocking, I'm not sure BB would do such a thing to make blocking difficult. After all, if people can do fewer adventures because they don't have the troops, they'd buy fewer adventures. Must be some feature to make the game more interesting that back-fired on us all.
This is not just something which affects blocks, You want general A to attack camp X, but because you can no longer place your garrison at a place previously available your general can no longer attack that camp without being intercepted or takes the scenic route to the camp and fails to arrive before the adventure expires.

I noticed on SLT and CLT the offending dirt tracks have now gone :) Just need them to go on HLT now and Ill be happy :)
