Stuck on sub-quest 'Coins on the street'

I had that quest for a long time now, and I spent my explorer many times (well over 20) in the required Medium Treasure search.
So far he mostly brought back junk and rarely anything I still needed, but never any coin.

What gives?
Is it possible at all to get coins, or is it bugged?
If it is possible, what are the odds ?

I have the same problem, and it's not as if if it's a five minute hunt either

hmm, I do hope the one from 2011 has found one.
I am still looking for a coin.

I know how frustrating this can be, I assure he he does find coins..:)
Just keep trying, maybe send several explorers to find the coins, two can see more than 1.
What also help is to invest manuscripts and/or other boos in our explorer this will give him more "luck"to find it.
But some things he does find on the Medium Treasure search can be useful, aren't they? So not all is lost or is it?

It took me about a week or so to complete it. I was having the same doubts as you guys but he does find coiins eventually. =)
