More of a little hint than a guide really. I just calculated (based on average prices on baskets, HWP and marble on the newfoundland server) at what level buildings, in the gold production chain, it starts to be worth using the badge-buff. And here are the results:
Coins pr. Gold Ore Coins pr. Gold Ore
using baskets using badges
level 1 0.375 0.170
level 2 0.438 0.404
level 3 0.458 0.546
level 4 0.469 0.641
level 5 0.475 0.709
So at todays prices it doesn't pay off until level 3 and after that it's pure gold ;)
Hi all,
What do you think of the «Employee of the month badge» buff? I was considering using it only on gold mines, gold smelter and coinage, because it's expensive to make and its cost would not compensate if used on other buildings. What do you think?
I hope you'll find this table useful :)
http://www.adobescripts.com/Settlers/Settlers_Basket_Badge_Gold_Ore.png
Columns:
- "m:s" - travel time,
- "s" - total travel time in seconds,
- "/h" - how many gold ore will be extracted in one hour for Gold Mine Level 1.
The rest of the columns:
- "LVL #" - how many gold ore will be extracted for level # during 9 hours friend's buff - when,
- "1" - unbuffed,
- "basket 2" - buffed with basket - double production,
- "badge 3" - buffed with badge - triple production.
From the basket/badge columns you can see when 50 gold ore used to make badge is paid off and when you start to make profit :)
Those calculations not include cost of the fish/bread/sausage-basket or hardwood/marble-badge :)
