Did you setup another general with soldier right before this bugging general? Often this kind of problems occur when the table of available troops ain't updated - you can try to mount more troops than actually available.

hehe Then similar thing just happened to me.. A rollback when combat were engaged.
I had setup a general with all but cannons needed - those were atm needed on another general, but got unmounted.
Cannons got mounted and I checked all troops were there.
Sent all generals to attack and still troops seemed ok - I allways do a last check when sent.
Combat were engaged and lost.
My general came back defeated and battle report told there were no cannons fighting for me there.

I've learned to double- and triple-check the troops on my Generals...

I load up the General, and click OK, then close the Garrison window, and re-open it - If the troops are still correct, I send them.

After sending an attack, I click the Garrison again, just to check that the troops are correct - if not, retreat and reload...

It is very easy to add troops, then not click OK before sending, and the added troops won't go with your General - that's not a bug, it's a design feature.

If you are 100% sure you clicked OK, and when your attack lands on the bandits, the troops are wrong, then it a bug...

Yes, it's a bug in how this "rollback"-feature behave in certain situations.

Happening again....

Send 100 x and 100 longbow to island with gen.

Get there and decide where they are to attack 50 Cal 50gun 100 rattler.

zero out troops and send 90 recs110 s. off they go, check general lovely

Battle shows 100xb and 100 long and 7 survive.

Come on guys!!!!! Sort it out!

XBs were loaded, confirmed there before engaging combat, but then obviously backrolled off when engaging..

Oh, now I get it -- same thing happened to me couple days ago, I was totally baffled that I lost a battle which should have been a successful block, it was the same thing: 61 Soldiers showed up as "0" / "0" in the combat menu and 128 cavalries died an untimely death.
(for the record: I had over 400 Soldiers still unassigned)

I only contact support if I think they can help me.

This issue is hard to reproduce as it's (probably) "server busy"-related.

1. Had XBs on another general (MG), clicked to transfer that general to another spot, but that call got backrolled so I unloaded the XBs.
2. Loaded the XBs on a new general (MoMA) and sent to attack a camp. Everything seemed ok when the general got engaged in combat.
3. Battle lost because of removed XBs, backrolled call of transfering MG was executed. So pretty much a rollback got backrolled while other calls were allowed to be executed in between.

This is still around.
Happened tonight in a DB with multiple attacks running. This time I only lost some Cavs because Recruits got re-unloaded (and no, I was not even close to be short of R) so couldn't care less about the losses, BUT it's pretty annoying having this issue around and the other related "busy server issue" in backrolling buffs.

And yes, I can give some more info if someone knowledgable ask me - "support" have no clue and insults you with their directions.
