Adventure invite does not return after 8hrs

I invited a friend to adventure last night but for whatever reason he did not get online. After 8hrs I should have been able to invite someone else... but at least 10hrs later it hadn't released the invite.
I tried logging out, clearing cache, logging in, waiting.....

(In the end I just wasted the ls and completed the adventure so we could finish our guild quest.)

Could this be linked to the http://forum.thesettlersonline.com/threads/27281-OPEN-Trades-to-Inactive-Friends-Not-Returning issue maybe? (My friend is "Active" though)

Trades to inactive friends seem to be vanishing instead of automatically returning "Declined" 8 hours later. .............

This does look to be the same thing Gavona, your friend has to actually open their Mailbox to trigger the "expiration". I'm not sure if that works in all cases but it's a good place to start. Fingers very much crossed the next game update is indeed next week and that it clears all this up.
