could u look into having the friary as a perm building that can be built instead of having to purchase w/ gems

can't see that happening, might be some future work yard I guess, maybe like the other one (1 for beans and 1 for gems)

I'd like to think there will be a world cup event in game this year which would allow the purchase of a Friary with footballs, similar to the euro event for 2012.
Other than that, you can purchase them from other players in the trade house.

I wouldn't imagine such a high end building ever just being buildable from your build menu.
