View Full Version : reward for collecting al collectibles

I know the quest is really only there so we know how many collectibles there are on the island. Still, the part where I click "claim rewards" and there's a big fat nothing to claim is disheartening. Why should I spend half an hour just to find one more scarecrow?

I'm not expecting any large rewards, just something that gives one the feeling of having accomplished something. For example, how about something like getting an automatic buff* on the mayor's house which would last until the next set of collectibles appear, and would allow for making buffs out of collectibles at a lower cost. (i.e. each buff would need 1 fewer of each collectible to make, or a random collectible (i.e. food carts) cost in each buff would be halved, etc.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*not the kind of buff that would prevent buffing the mayor's house with population increasing buffs because it already has a buff on it

If I was a cynic I say being able to make a country saying nearly every time you've finished was reward enough ( who needs foodcarts and banners anyway)

I'ld love to see a reward for collecting all the collectables - how about an extra rare collectabe e.g and extra food cart

If the devs are too lazy to change the "claim reward" text on a button, I'd be very surprised if they ever get around to implementing an actual reward....

But... you already get a reward for collecting all the collectibles...

You get a load of new collectibles in your storehouses, and the possibility of making new buffs - you even get to choose which one to make...

If you don't collect them all, you don't get the free buffs! Surely this is reward enough?

You don't get a reward for collecting "ALL" the collectibles... there's a big difference.

But the only reason people expect a reward is because there's a big button saying "claim reward" on it.

The reward is that it is removed from your quest journal :P

Exactly! It's a Pavlovian reflex to expect something good happening when I press that button. And when I don't get anything, I feel disappointed... It's training me out of expecting good things from the game after having accomplished something. (I think it would be harder to change the text on the button than to add some nominal reward, even if it's only one food cart or a fish, so I'm not asking for that.)

I suggest the reward would be the you get the last collectible twice.

Either give a reward or just remove the claim reward button

As you know, that there isn`t any reward after collecting all collectibles. Well I suggest to Ubisoft, To provide a XP Bonus reward (100XP::xp::) for collecting all collectibles.

If you really want reward like this in shape of XP bonus, please write ::xp:: to support this post !

Surely the reward you get is the ability to make buffs?

LordBosse

As Penny says the reward itself is getting the colls to make some good buffs :)

Oh, and since this is a suggestion it actually belongs in the Suggestions thingymabob ;)

The collect all 'quest' is not a quest, but a collie counter, with the reward being 15-20 collies to make free buffs. Don't see the need for anything else.

I hope you understand that this is a Petition, to receive an Additional Reward in shape off XP BONUS ::xp:: !

No support for this suggestion here, since the quest chains give far too much XP already, and premium gives 50% extra from adventures its already easier than ever to get XP.

You do realise its against the rules to conduct any petitions on here

Petitions and calls for a boycott

Any reference or invitations to petitions and boycotts will be stopped, depending on the type and situation, and may result in a warning or a final expulsion without prior notice.

only thing they could do imo is add it to the achievements, but other than that, i agree with the above, its already a free resource to make buffs

It would be nice if the concept of 'petition' was clarified. In my understanding, this is not a 'petition' that should get one banned (or threatened with banning). It is basically a suggestion for the game. I don't see what is wrong with making a suggestion, even if others don't agree that it is a good one.

Also, I wonder as to the wisdom of MODs commenting with authority on such matters (which are not in keeping with keeping the forum PEGI-7 or in following with the rules). Shouldn't players be allowed to comment freely within the bounds of the rules?

You obviously failed to read the bit where the OP called it a petition.

You obviously failed to read the bit where the OP called it a petition.

That would mean the rule is: One musn't say the word "petition." Which is inexpressibly silly.

The entire Suggestions section of the forum is a series of petitions though the word itself is rarely included and "request" more often used.

Please keep the thread on topic.

In case people forgot, the suggestion here is to add a reward to the collectible quest.
If you want clarification on the rules, or if you want to complain about the way the forum is moderated, please send a ticket to Support.

Thank you,

At present if you find all items hidden on a map (barrels, herbs, etc.) there is no bonus for finding everything. Would BB consider adding a bonus of a few random event items for successful hunts? These don't have to be relevant immediately - presents at Easter will keep till Christmas etc. and the numbers don't need to be large - 1-5 items depending on the size of the collection would do the job nicely.

It could be a kind of small motivation in the game looking for collectibles on the island. For example, the reward could be 1 more random collectible if you have found all collectibles on the map during 4 hours... and no extra reward if it takes you for too long to find all collectibles.
