2200+ here. distribution of collectibles is hopelessly out of balance. And to all the people saying 'sell them in trade', you try it! I have never seen anyone wanting to buy. I did an experiment selling 100 barrels. I kept on dropping the price and still nobody bought. even 100 barrels for 1 gold coin failed to sell. I eventually sold them for 1 fish. Yes, 1 fish! They are utterly worthless.

BB could let us get rid of the barrels by making a new buff for the barracks. 25 barrels, 25 scarecrows, and 5 food cart. Increase barracks production for recruits only by 100% for 6 hours. I consider this would be a balanced buff as the requirement for food carts would prevent it being produced in huge quantities and it has limited use. It also makes sense, put the scarecrows in the barrels as targets for the recruits to practice on and feed them regularly. We produce settlers 25 at a time so there are enough targets for each recruit to have 1. The buff is cheaper than Drill Sergeant Skunk but has a lesser effect and gets rid of the huge stacks of barrels we all have.

If anyone wants to send me barrels (or any other collectibles) on Newfoundland Server I am always using them..... They are great for Hunting Contest & Miracle Bait buffs.

Effectively, you must clear the collectibles which initially spawn to have a chance to respawn the last couple ones - so by not picking up barrels (and herbs, and scarecrows) you lose chances on food carts and banners.

8000 herbs, 5000 scarecrows, 2700 barrels ...
380 Leater, 228 Grain Sacks ... yeah, the balance of collectibles is horribly skewed.
And since I can't even stack the production of Collections, I'm probably never going to use most of the "lesser" ingredients anyways.

I have a high consumption rate on anything Skunky, though.
