Village school, anything else would have been stupid...

84.62% of us disagree

How is a school a waste of space?

1. Schools can now be upgraded to L5. Each school produces 60 Settlers per day.

2. Each school replaces a minimum of 12-18 buildings (2 L4 bakeries, 3 L5 Farms, 2 L5 mills, 2 L5 watermills/(or 8 wells), fields, 3 L5 silos). OR, considerably more if you haven't upgraded buildings.

6 x 12 = 72+ buildings OR sell the 3.3 million bread saved per year for approx. 100k gold coins.

I have 6 level 5 Village Schools, producing 360 settlers per day with zero consumption, I am a moderate adventurer and have not needed to use any settler refills in months.

Does that sound useless?

I'd love to know whether the other realms have been inflicted with this poor decision...

Why would anyone vote for the unlimited improved storehouse when the school is a limited item..... Both are equal in gem value and yet the school is as rare as a recycling manufactory.

Baggis,
You proved ti on the best way.
But the bird is not in the cage anymore.
And waste of space is such a wrong comment Steve1077

Me? I voted for the Village School, for the reasons that have already been stated above. Not impressed with the improved storehouse option, although I suppose it means there will be a glut of cheap ones on the market for those people who do like them...

I have a feeling this vote was manipulated, your poll results so far suggest most ppl voted for the village school, but it came last in the list! Most tso gamers are mostly clued up on the availability of certain items via trade, shop etc so there is no way the imp storehouse or battle hard gen would of beat the school!

How on earth did the fairy fire get left out as well? it was cheap and much more worthwhile than book resources that cost an arm and a leg.

Seriously TO items being voted for? Go & buy stores in trade, oh why vote stores :(

Not at all Don - I think people are just expressing that there's no logic behind the stores being voted in as they can be easily obtained through Trade, or, as in my case, people really dont want them anyway.. I'm not suggesting any BB skulduggery at all. :)

Also take into account that both the Storehouse and the BHG are likely to appeal more than the Village School to the casual gamer...
They don't tend to bother looking in forums and voting in the polls that can be found there. ;-)

Yeah, I guess the poll here isnt representative of the global settlers playing population, but it is interesting (for me) to realise how different it must be on other servers. Bring on the Equality and Diversity!

Ozzymandeus - does that mean I have crossed the line and passed from 'casual' gamer into something more.. um.. serious? Goodness!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but improved warehouses can only be bought with gems, yes? So every one that people are saying can be bought in TO has been bought by someone with gems, yes? Perhaps the "serious" players wanted a break from spending their gems...

I find it comical that, when schools first came out, everyone said they were useless and few people bothered to get them. Now they're vital to the game!

Improved stores have been given away in previous events in the last year and are still available in the merchant and trade office.

People may have said that the Village Schools were useless to start with, that was because they were locked at level 1. I bought them in the event anyway. Now they are upgradeable to level 5 they are a different prospect entirely, I'm sure you knew that though.

The casual gamer i.e the people that don't really understand the game.

This poll only proves that people that read the forums, and sometimes make a contribution, voted with a little more research. Its obvious people can buy storehouse on in the trade office, and BHG only appeals to anyone that has only normal generals.

Not necessarily... there are exceptions to every rule! :)

The casual gamer i.e the people that don't really understand the game.
That doesn't make their opinion about what they want to see in the guild market less relevant to folks at Blue Byte.

The best idea would of been to make all 3 items buyable from the guild shop, but once u purchaced 1 of the 3 items on offer the other 2 would of been unavailable.
That would of made everyone happy!

Excellent idea, I hope that BB takes Mutant kids idea on board.
All i can say is a lot of newbies must have voted for the storehouse, I for one voted for the village school, Well worth it since they are upgradable.
Bangs Head on wall for not buying them when they came up in events.

..except from all those that would "randomly" buy one just because they thought they could buy all of them. I doubt BB are able to make things enough clear to avoid that. (Do I need to link some "description bugs"? =)

your vote only takes account of the people who use the forum...

there are thousands who dont use the forum..

I voted BHG for the lower levels by the way
