totally useless epic workyard

don t get the epic workyard people, it s absolutly useless, doesn t even make any wood logs for you, it plants trees but doesn t cut them ,and the quests to unlock the stuff is totally stupid, one quest is asking you to pay 8400 bronze and 15900 water, to unlock the right to plant trees ,who on earth had that brillianrt idea, and the quest isn t finish yet you will still have to pay something else just to have the right to plant trees quicker , i don t get it if the workyard plant tree, it should be able to make log also but it doesn t , not even a proper full chain of making planks , totally and really stupid idea .

I got one, it took me a while to work out it was worth having and it saved me a fair amount of space, I must admit it cost a lot to do all the quests, I use it mostly for coal and planks

I got 2. It really helps save on space and licenses. Yes, its not an all-in-one solution (which would be better). It is odd they left out the cutting. That being said, its still useful. Especially when you want to buff it (the buff is cheapish in the epic item shop).

Yes the upgrades are silly expensive. But several of us have reached the point we have little else to spend our resources on, so it acts as a 'needed' resource sink.

When upgraded you got a real mean work machine - if you figure out how to use it, soooo - rethink that outburst. ;-)

I didn't like the look of it at first... but I now have 2, they save space and licenses which is a big plus if you are running out of space.

I use one to plant and one to make planks. I have cutters to keep it balanced.

i actually take mine off my island, way too big and no point to spend so much ressources to unlock the right to produce stuff, i prefere to have the normal buildings to produce the stuff, it s pretty useless with 2 foresters at level 4 each will produce more than 1 slot in the epic workyard, and like i said before, it doesn t produce logs ,and that why i wanted one , but now i spend 5k beans just to have one useless epic , i m pretty piss off with myslef to have bought one,

I think (correct me if i'm wrong) the forester per slot, when upgraded, is equivalent to a level 7 building? So the epic is equivalent to 3*7 = 21 level 1 buildings (or 4 level 5 buildings). The footprint is less than 4 level 5 buildings. Additionally it can do other activities should your island evolve such that you need that, and it can of course be moved at a free cost.

It really shines when you start using it to produce coal or planks, as a single buff on it is more efficient than buffing 4 or 5 separate buildings.

As for the upgrade costs, yes, they seem high, but then again, many of us have so many excess resources or gold coin it is not really a bother. Perhaps it may be more accurate to say:

At your present state in game, you are not yet able to fully use the epic work-yard to warrant it.

easy answer
Exotic sawmill chain 3x :)
Normal EWS: 12min 5 planks per cycle
Woodyard EWS: 6min 7 planks per cycle -> 12min 14 planks -> ×3 = 42 planks / 5 equals 8 lvl5 regular sawmills (16 with two woodyards) = saves buffing and island space

Exotic sawmill is save alot of of space
2 best option:

1: pine forest: place one near pine tree then surrounded with cutter, save a lot of license depend on ur level upgrade.
2: Exotic plank: just need level 1, require 1x Exotic sawmill level 5. produce 3k Exotic plank per 12hrs with buff

How did you calculate that? One slot gives you the same as two level 5 pinewood forester. If you use it for that you save 6 licences.

yea got it now, i saved 10 licences for it, was just desapointed couldn t produce logs , witch it s odd really, don t think will do the quests to get ewp, i don t really need ewp, one of us has 200 ew sawmills on the island , so just swap 1/1 ratio . way quicker and way cheaper
