Event collectable not appearing

After the maintenance some have had the new event collectables on their island, but others haven't.

I logged in after maintenance and saw the 'New Quest' arrow, when I clicked it I had to find 19 collectables on my island - none were the new event collectables, just the usual ones (scarecrow, herbs etc) :(

This was my second collectable hunt today.

not only no event collection items, adv did not yield balls nor did a short search.

The event was not started first thing this morning, meaning you may have gotten another spawn before the event started.

This was discussed during the test server phase of this event, and many solutions were offered. Sadly what we have is an almost unchanged version. Many will be stuck with the first adventure for a day or 2 even with the extra gifts and collectibles spawning, totally random and only 1-3 in each. Numbers of each collectible to make a buff could have been revised (my suggestion was 1 of 2 types per buff) as players getting stuck and having to wait 8-10 hours is only going to deter people from returning and enjoying the game.
