Footballs cost a building licence

was ok before maint now it said i had 2 build lic when i should have zero re login and now it says i have minus 2 build lic left, population is showing weird 9566/8080 and after a few login 9563/8080

Building licence problem appears to be related to football collectibles. Every football I click on gives me a licence back!

Same issue here, missing some building licenses and I got them back after collecting footballs.

I found my building licences short after first collectible set, second set gave me 1 back with each new football collected and then I clicked on one which made 6 of my building licences vanish, taking me to zero! Interesting feature :D

Just a guess - but I recon when they create an object there's an indicator as to whether or not it it uses a building license, and someone turned that indicator on by mistake for the object which contains the football collectible. If so it should be a five-second fix but may need another maintenance to make sure it propagates :(

I dont have this issue at all and as I didnt manage to log in for the first 15 mins when the initial event went live, Im wondering if it is just restricted to those who did?

I've not seen this anywhere else, but I noticed my available building licences were lower than it should be this morning. Every time I found a football it increased by one. I therefore assume each football on the island uses up a licence.

This could mean that if you don't have available licences when collectables spawn, then you may not get any footballs spawning.

I'm getting it and I also didn't get to log in until a few hours after it eventually went live. Whilst it does seem that the footballs have an effect, it isn't (as far as I can see) quite as simple as just being to do with those as I in fact appear to have GAINED 4 licenses, compared to pre-event play.

I'm sure that a forum moderator will merge this with several other similar threads. In summary if you login with a collection quest started then every football collectible item reduces your building license by 1. When you pick that collectible up the license is restored.

I have the opposite scenario. Ive just gained 5 extra licenses by clicking of the spawned footballs on my island, no doubt the next respawn will take them back

I would strongly advise against taking advantage because either you'll find you have to buy more licenses anyway and/or BB will probably make sure they check this thoroughly because this is part of their income stream.

I had 4 building licences spare, found 5 footballs on my island and now I have 9 licences.

and now a few hours later, with no available collectibles to interfere, not rebuilt any mines or other buidlings, they have gone back to my original 14. All Ive been doing is adventures and trades. (and also didnt refresh or log out during that time)

My collectables re spawned and my licences dropped by 1, had no footballs amongst my collectables yet licences returned to normal once I had found all collectables. I did have a corner however. Until now despite footballs being found on my island my licencee count has been well behaved.

Someone said you get extra licences, wich is true, but it can also be exploited before you refresh or visit adventure, get it fixed!
tested by building 7 extra pinewood cutters, after refreshing, licence count went down to -7, afterwards i deleted those said buildings ofc.

Ahh.. this'll probably be why I had -2 licenses for a little while yesterday then. Sent ticket to support, but no reply as yet, beyond the automated 'we'll get back to as soon as possible' message.

I have the same bug. -1 license when respawned with collectibles, +6 six after I found most of them, still 1 to find to get the right number of licenses available :(

I'm having the same problem, except this time I didn't get my missing license back. I had 5, they went down to 4 when the collies showed up. I finished the quest which usually fixes it but this time, I didn't get my license back. :(

Ive got this too. It's actually useful as once all my mines are back up I can see how many footballs I have on my island and it's worth continuing the collectable hunt.

The spawned footballs on your island takes a building liecence up, find them and refresh to reset you liecences.

Me Too, had 6 licences Monday night as I have had for ages, got home tonight, 2 mines depleted so licences should have been 8, but can only replace 1 mine as none now left, just found a football and licence count has gone up to 1
